I have a 1998 jaguar xjr for sale. I have owned this car for a good two and a half years. It had never given me a problem. Recently, I was going to do the timing chain tensioners upgrade. I took it to a shop, but they broke the crankshaft bolt. They tried to drill it out but couldn't instead they kept increasing the thickness of the drill bit and now I don't know what to do. The car could be repaired, don't know how much. The car is solid, no ripped seats, all leather is good except for the center console armrest. No dents, great transmission and engine too. All of the stainless is unblemished and nice. The interior is just as nice. The Recaro Leather seats are very healthy. There’s evidence of them being sat in, but there’s no cracking or excessive wear. All of the electronics work as they should. The AC blows cold. Seats, windows, radio, etc are all functioning properly. The wood veneers look great. In fact, there’s really nothing negative to report. These steel bodied XJRs have a great look to them. They're low, wide and not too big by todays full size standards. The Supercharges Six Cylinder models were only produced from 1995-1997 and are regaded by many to be the best sedan Jaguar ever produced. This short production run benefited from new sheet metal while retaining the classic squared off interior dash and door panels. These cars also benefited from a revamped electronics system courtesy of parent company Ford. With 326 Horsepower, the XJR was the fastest production sedan in the world at the time. Around town, it drives like your typical XJ6. Mash the gas however and this XJR shoots to triple digit speeds with ease.
