Up for sale is a really nice 1979 Jaguar XJ-6 L. Car is not running due to low compression as the result of 3 burnt exhaust valves. I have a rebuilt head ready to be installed that will go with the car if you buy at full price. Body is in great condition, no dents or dings, a few small blemishes in the original paint, but still shines. There is one small spot of rust in the driver's side lower front wheel arch. Otherwise, the body is rust free. All chrome is there and in great condition. All glass is in perfect shape. Interior is in great shape (no cracks, tears, or fading) except for the the leather seats. The leather on the sitting portion of the front seats has started to crack from age. Rear bench is also beginning to dry out. Dash, door panels, head liner, carpet, etc. all in great shape. This is the perfect starting point for a show quality restored jag, or just install the new head and cruise in style.

1979 JAGUAR XJ6L - Parts Car / Restore Project Engine: GM-V8-350-SB / Trans: GM-350 / 4 bbl Holley Carb / Modified Nova Drive Shaft & Corvette Radiator. Does not run / Engine & Trans was originally a complete rebuild and had about 2500 miles on it before storage. Stored for a long time, last 5 years outside. Heavy surface rust and several places rusted completely thru – floors, fenders, rockers, etc. All glass, trim, lenses, wheels & hubcaps are all there and in very good shape. Right side front marker lens broken. This is being sold as a “Parts Car” – “as is”. Please ask questions if other specifics are required. Buyer will be responsible for transport. Must be picked up by 6/7/15

Thanks for your interest ... 1997 Jaguar Vanden Plas with only 41,000 + miles on it. 2nd owner - Grandmother owned. FULL MAINTENANCE RECORDS!!! Now I've driven Mercedes AMG supercars all my life, but this is by far the most luxurious, best riding car I've ever had the pleasure of driving. You feel a bump ...then its gone ...probably the independent suspension .... anyway... Don't know what to say... the car is beautiful for its age and speaks for itself. It is a classic car. Ask any Jaguar mechanic... the 1995-1997 were the last and best years of the XJ6... and the 1997 was the best. Described as bullet proof. The car runs excellent. The vehicle was purchased in 1997 from a Dallas, TX Jaguar dealer. Ever since 1999 it has been in Alabama, driven once a week to Bridge tournaments and lessons. There are some little tiny spots on the paint as it runs up to the chrome due to age, but all in all there is nothing cosmetically that couldn't be touched up for less for $200. NO DENTS OR ACCIDENTS IN 18 YEARS, SICK!!! Has NEVER EVER EVVVVVVER been driven in snow or salt, no corrosion at all whatsoever. The engine is in MINT condition. The 1997 Vanden Plas has a bulletproof engine, and this one has only averaged 2,200 MILES A YEAR!!!! I just took it up to 140 mph, with no sweat. This car hasn't even been broken in yet?!? Has only been owned by senior citizens. I am their grandson. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME WITH A OFFER OR ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE CONCERNING THE VEHICLE.
