This car has been my daily driver for about two and a half years. I picked it up with 84,000 miles from Starwood Motors in Dallas, TX. It moved with me to Tulsa, OK, and then to Melbourne, FL with me. Both times, it was moved by trailer. The interior is in good condition for the age of the car. Two of the wood panels have cracks in the clear coat. These are barely noticeable. There are no mirror covers on the sun visors. The door speakers have all been upgraded to 5x7 Infinity Kappa's. The head unit is a Kenwood Excelon DNX690HD with Garmin navigation. This head unit has Bluetooth, USB, Sirius capability, etc. It also has 5V preamp outputs. The sound is very clear. The volume controls on the steering wheel sometimes are unresponsive. Aside from that, I do not notice any problems. It was washed and detailed last week, and it will be again after a sale is confirmed. The engine is in great shape. It still feels powerful and idles/runs as it should. The exterior has a few blemishes. The rims all have some form of curb rash. There are small chips that have been painted over on the hood. The bumper has a large area where the paint chipped off. There is a scrape on the drivers side front bumper. It is very low and hard to see. I can spray over this if desired. An aerosol can and a small paint bottle of touchup paint for this car are included. All of these paint blemishes can be filled with putty, sanded, and sprayed over for a perfect repair fairly easily. The headlights have been buffed and polished once a year. I rotary wax the car twice a year. At every Jaguar dealership I have this serviced at, people say it is the nicest looking S-Type they have seen! The mirrors and trunk lip are carbon fiber wrapped. The engine cover is thermal painted a close matching silver. The rims are the more expensive rims offered (around $700+ each) for this trim of S-Type. I have repaired and fixed everything that goes wrong after 70,000 miles. I have put in plenty of money in keeping this car in great shape. It should have plenty of life left in it! -Brake rotors were replaced by previous dealership-4 ignition coils replaced by dealership ($313.10 each)-Radiator replaced ($419.00)-Heater hose replaced, hood latch cable replaced ($650.61)-Driver door window assembly replaced ($370.36)-Water pump replaced ($557.78)-Motor mounts replaced ($646.14)-Removed and replaced transmission pan, harness electrical sleeve, transmission fluid replaced ($1142.56)-Wheel alignment ($99.00)-Replaced all 4 wheel center caps ($152.20)-Replaced camshaft gaskets ($1240.80)-Reinstalled weather stripping ($69.90)-Replaced coolant reservoir and hoses ($410.18)-2 rear tires with under 4,000 miles on them ($386.42)-2 front tires with under 8,000 miles on them ($316.98)-Cabin filter ($15.65)-Power steering fluid replacement and Jaguar "anti-squeak" additive ($47.65) There are intermittent signals on the dash of ABS fault and DSC not available. These appear upon starting the car and disappear by the next time it starts. I have checked the suspension sensors, and they are okay. I cleaned off the reluctors of road dirt, and these signals disappeared for months. I assume they are appearing again due to dirt. I am sure the Jaguar dealership would say the same thing. The suspension also has a few squeaks or groans here and there, but they are not obnoxiously loud and can't be heard in the cabin or in close proximity of the car. You can buy another S-Type with less miles and pay for all of this in the future, or you could just buy this one that has had it all done! This car is still pulling strong, and is a great car to drive.
