Jaguar came up with a supercharged XKR version of the XK8 in 2000. The supercharger boosts the horsepower up to 370 in the XKR. Exterior Sensual and alluring in any form, the projectile-shaped XK body is comparatively tame in the XK8 trims. The XKR adds a functional louvered hood, rear spoiler, and 18-inch wheels and tires, instead of the usual 17-inchers. It is also equipped with Jaguar’s Computer Active Technology Suspension, which features computer-controlled shock absorbers that adjust ride firmness according to changes in the vehicle’s speed and road conditions. The XKR sports a wire mesh grille instead of the usual bar design. The convertible has a power soft-top and a glass rear window with a defogger, and all models have headlight washers. 1969 Jaguar E-Type XKE 2+2 FHC Coupe Series II The legendary Jaguar E-Type (a.k.a. Jaguar XK-E) was manufactured between 1961 and 1975. Its combination of good looks, high performance and competitive pricing established the marque as an icon of 1960’s motoring. On its release Enzo Ferrari called it "The most beautiful car ever made". In March 2008, the Jaguar E-Type ranked first in a The Daily Telegraph online list of the world's "100 most beautiful cars" of all time, and in 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed the E-Type at number one on their list of Top Sports Cars of the 1960’s. The E-Type was initially designed and shown to the public as a rear-wheel drive grand tourer in two-seater coupé form (FHC or Fixed Head Coupé) and as a two-seater convertible (OTS or Open Two Seater). A "2+2" four-seater version of the coupé, with a lengthened wheelbase, was released several years later. 1963 Daimler SP250. 4 speed manual. Original motor, trans, rear; the rest is mostly original. Starts easy & runs decently. Located in Mandarin area, south Jacksonville, Florida. Titled in my name with a Florida title (NO brandings/negative labels; no rebuilt, no salvage, no liens & no bonded stamps. Most of you looking know the Daimler SP250 stats, history facts, & usuals. This car has had much done to it as can be seen in pictures. The last owner had it for about ten years (rarely used; sitting in his Minnisota property storage garage with his other collectibles). He lives in N.Y. full time. This is one of the "improved" models that Jaguar re-inforced (B & C series had their frames beefed up/strengthened starting in 1960 when Jaguar bought out Daimler). Dealers & owners changed various things to their liking in the period when these were new, or fairly new (bumpers, or no bumpers; whiskers; lights, & so on). It will need further tweaking due to the inoperative period in storage. All in all, partially amateur & professional restoration with a final driver friendly result. NEW items in the period of restore/revamps: water & fuel pumps; four wheel disk brakes & new suspension parts; interior (sealer paint & insulation [shown] installed under carpet); a new top (but got ripped upon install, now has 6" repair patch at the bottom both lower sides); paint (no fractures, cracks, or peeling); tires; chromes/emblems; etcetera (to many to list). New glass. Dual exhaust extentions have been added. Also, new NAPA 750 CCA battery just installed (7/1/15). A gas filter was added. An aftermarket shift knob is now on (not shown in the interior picture). A buyer may want a new top at some point of ownership since it has the patches. I will make an allowance for this option. To be discussed. MOTOR: Heads & valves were completely redone with valve seals installed-ported/polished (S250's did not originally have seals which would cause some oils smoke; the upgraded/modernized valve seals alleviates it). I have the receipt for the parts & labor on this job. The small "rubber" top hoses were nicely done away with by custom *copper soldered* pipes. Cleaner & less leaking (can easily be replaced back to original rubber hoses). A new clutch, pressure plate & throw out bearing was installed before the motor was reinstalled. The frame was in excellent condition when the previous owner took the body off. He prepped, painted, & remounted the body with new required parts. The Hood closes flush (slightly open in picture). Doors/fenders, etcetera have good allignments & close as desired. Definitely needs emergency brake parts (note emergency brake handle is not installed & I do not have it). The left rear brake is locking up. I have a replacement kit to rebuild the wheel cylinder AND am leaving the emergency brake handle/sticky brake for the next owner to do. A Mr. John Carey supplies parts (& has the emergency brake handle/parts) & Daimler SP250 much knowledge he use to restore them); [email protected] Car comes with a parts supply resource CD; a Daimler SP250 illustrated hardcover details & history book(1 inch thick; sells for about $70 on Ebay) & a trunk full of parts. The car is finished as in the first 10 pictures. The remaining pictures was its restore/revamp process documentation. Also has the original console ashtray in trunk. A large folder of receipts.
