I purchased this XJ8 in March, 2005. Since then, I've resolved every issue known to haunt the early year model (98-2003) XJ's. The throttle body was replaced eliminating the matter of highway-speed stalling. The cam chain & tensioners where replaced (3rd gen) eliminating the likelihood of tensioner failure. The front upper shock bushings were replaced (upgraded to urethane). All shocks were replaced with Bilstein's. The wheel bearings have been replaced. The fuel pump and sender have been replaced. All the engine hoses have been replaced. The brakes, tires & spare are all good. This has been my Baby for the past ten years. I'm only offering it for sale now because the wife wants a NEW car before she retires. As you can tell by the write-up, I've spared nothing to keep this car in its original, road-trip ready condition, both inside and out. I have no reservation about driving the car over long distances and routinely take day-trips averaging 450 - 600 miles in a day. I will post additional pictures next week.
