Many new items including dash pad, grille, front spoiler, fog lamps, windshield, headliner, repaired driver’s seat. New steering rack, power steering pump, A/C system converted to R134 and blows cold. New fuel filter, kickdown switch, radiator removed, entire cooling system flushed and Tefba filters installed to remove any remaining debris, new fan clutch and aux fan. Paint has been retouched and looks almost new, with excellent leather all around. New shocks, upgraded front and rear sway bars, 17”x 8” wheels from XJR. Growler air intakes, w/ European headers feeding into one cat per side, Magnaflow resonators with balance tube. Not only is this car quick, but you can hear the beautiful V12. I get almost as many comments about the way this car sounds as I do on the way it looks, which is saying a lot as it has won several awards in JCNA sanctioned Concours in the “Driven” category. She was born with the following optional factory equipment; tinted glass, reclining seats, 4-speed with overdrive, wire wheels, fog lights, wing windows and power steering. While retaining the original flavor of the classic Mark II Jaguar, the car was re-engineered to incorporate many modern amenities designed to make this car run and drive like a modern vehicle. The car features fully functioning Air Conditioning, inertial shoulder harness rewinder, wood rim steering wheel and latched custom designed vertical hood hinges. The entire electrical system was redesigned using modern wiring, relays and fuses. All wiring is fused to less than the wire capacity, so it is now impossible to melt wires. The cooling system was extensively modified as well. Extra coolers were added as well as extra cooling fans. This car never runs above 180 degrees, even in the most extreme situations. She was built specifically to handle modern roads and conditions, and to be “a competent vehicle in today’s world.” The goal was to create a Mark II that was able to be driven every day comfortably and all the while maintaining the vintage look and feel of the original car. A power steering rack was installed in addition to CD Player, power antenna, modern tires and capacitance discharge ignition with modern alternator. The brackets for the accessory belts were all re designed to accommodate a modern A/C compressor. An additional auxiliary radiator was installed to ensure that the car ran cool during the hottest of weather. An entirely revised electrical system incorporates separate fuses for all electrical components. An MSD ignition was employed to assist in spark and increase point life. The SU HD-6 carburetors were converted to manual choke using an E-Type choke. Polyurethane motor mounts were used and rubber throughout the rest of the car to ensure a comfortable ride. Q-Pads were installed throughout the cabin to improve noise cancelling and insulation. The entire dash and firewall were reconfigured to hold the A/C evaporator and control components. Custom “scissor” hood hinges were designed and installed, thus allowing the hood to be opened vertically for ease of servicing. The results are self evident, as this Jaguar was restored with an open checkbook, and to the very highest standards. The car is well sorted and performs as well as she looks!!! She was recently serviced including a new head gasket, radiator and ignition system. The engine (original to the car and matching numbers) has great compression, oil pressure, starts easily and has great power and torque. The engine and engine compartment are detailed to a very high level. The Moss gearbox (original and matching numbers) shifts well and the clutch takes up easily. The drum brakes are well set up, and the car stops straight and true. Finished in OLD ENGLISH WHITE with TAN soft top roof and RED leather interior, the car makes a bold British motoring statement. The paint is excellent and comes with a lifetime warranty. The interior RED leather is new and gorgeous. The wood is finished to a very high level with great “burl” on the veneers. The chrome and brightwork are in excellent condition. The car rides on chromed wire wheels and new radial tires; the wheels are gorgeous. All electrical and mechanical systems work as they should. The underside of the car shows its age, but the floors are solid and there is little corrosion. The British Heritage certificate comes with the car. This car is an excellent driver, and could be used in this capacity or would make a good starting point for a full restoration. She is a pleasure to drive, only needing an enthusiastic new owner. She is a beautiful example of the iconic British open air car that is in fine driver quality condition. The car features a well sorted XK120 3.4 liter engine, and correct 4-speed manual transmission. Found in a barn in Maine by Owl’s Head Transportation museum curator, Ethan Yankura, the car was said to been owned by a british gentleman for the greater half of the 19th century. She is a particularly nice driving car that has been well sorted by British Motors of Fairfield County. Recently the car received a host of work that focused on its reliability and drivability which included; Remove and Replace 2 Carburetors, clean and adjust Replace Points Ignition with a pertronix system including new plugs and coil Remove and Replace entire braking system including calipers, discs, pads, shoes, rotors. Bleed system. Install two new air horns General multi-point inspection The white paint is good, with good luster and shine. The black leather interior was clearly redone at some point, and now has a nice patina. The black canvas roadster top is in good condition, and seals well; the top mechanism works as it should. The chrome and brightwork are in excellent condition. The car rides on chromed wire wheels and new radial tires; the wheels are gorgeous. All electrical and mechanical systems work as they should. The underside of the car shows its age, but the floors are solid and there is little corrosion. The British Heritage certificate comes with the car.
