1928 International IHC 1- Ton 6 Speed Special Original Wakesha Engine Restored in the early 1990's Up for sale is a 1928 International 6 speed special 1 ton truck. I'm selling the truck for a family to help settle an estate. Photo's where taken on 12-21-2015 and the truck is currently in storage in Voorhees NJ 08009. Truck has a clean West Virginia title that I have possession of and will be released upon full payment. The family informs me that the truck was restored in the early 1990's and was used in local parades and advertising in the town of Nitro WV. Upon pickup I installed a new 6 volt battery and with no surprise the truck started and was driven onto the trailer. I have not tried detailing the truck and I'm sure it would clean up and would be a great truck to enjoy as-is. I drove the truck once I got home and the brakes performed well and the two speed rear is operational and everything seems to be in working order. Sometimes its cranks and fires then dies out and other times it will just run forever. I think the fuel should be replaced. There's no rust or rust repair to be found on the truck. Tires are good with light dryrot and hold air and no flat spots. Please review the photo's and ask questions. I would also be listing a 1930 Dodge Brothers 1 Ton tanker truck within the next week or two from the same estate. The car is being sold as is! Serious offers only please. This truck was initially purchased by my client to haul his cars to different auto shows but later was used for his business to tow vehicles. The truck was built 12/2001 by Navstar International for Jerr/Dan. The truck is equipt with the DT466 7.6 liter 215 hp inline 6 cylinder with an Allison 2400 5 speed automatic transmission w/pto. The truck has Anti lock air brakes and a 550 inch wheel base and a 24,000 GVW rating. The deck is 21 feet with tilt and slide out functions and a tow boom. The winch is rates at 12,000 lbs and straps and tie downs as well as other assorted tools are being sold with the truck. The cab can sit three people and has a lift up storage compartment under the passenegr seats, it has power steering, power windows and door locks, AC, AM/FM/CD and power mirrors. This is a nice running truck that has not been driven in 4 months. I replaced all the batteries and had all the fluids checked and all was good. There are some items that will need to be addressed, the windshield has a crack on the passenger side, the ac will need to be recharged, the outside passenger mirror is cracked as is the housing and the drivers seat back is ripped (a replacement cover comes with the truck). The title is clear and everything works as ou can see from the photos. I have the informatioin printout sheets from the factory as well as the summary sheet and Allison transmission book.
