Up for auction is a 1974 International Harvester Scout II, dark orange in color, great trail ride or beach vehicle!! This is a great truck. Came from a private collection and always stored indoors. Very rust free. Permanent convertible, it comes with no hardtop, though one could be added. GOOD: - paint is very good but a few scratches (see photos) - engine fires every time, havent had any issues with it not starting or running. Runs amazing. I have taken many long trips into Houston, (over 100 miles round trip) and never had any issues, no overheating, nothing. Runs every time, all the time. - all glass is good, inspection and registration is good - Has the new and improved ball bearing window crank handles. If you know these trucks you know what I mean. (expensive) - Has a custom stereo / TV / video player in the dash - seats are in great shape - 4WD works, have driven it around the property when it gets muddy. This inline jeep 6 cylinder engine will go all day long. - chrysler automatic bulletproof 727 transmission, never any problems - tires are pretty new - the shift boots are torn but there are new ones that come with the truck - easily digs through mud, or goes 70mph on the freeway, no problems with either. And looks good while doing it. - complete inside is bedliner. If it gets dirty, just hose it out!! Seats are weatherproof material as well. - all LED lighting outside (except headlights) - gets pretty good gas mileage since it is a 6 cyl - custom bumpers can pull trailers from front or rear (or mount removable winch) - Stereo works great, plays movies and may have bluetooth as well but I havent tried that. - GM steering column, key lock and tilt - center console - power brakes (no power steering) - Rust Free. Let me repeat, RUST FREE. You be hard pressed to find one this clean. BAD: - the engine has the common Jeep 6 cyl tick. If you read that it was the jeep 6 cylinder I am sure you expected to hear that. They always tick and still run 300,000 miles. - speedometer currently is not working, I will try to see if I can find out why. Maybe just disconnected cable. - gauges have been replaced with aftermarket, (I assume they are cheaper and work better) but I have a box with all the original gauges if the new owner wants them. Came with the truck. - a few nicks and scratches, mostly at the tailgate how it touches the rear bumper (see photos) - passenger side armrest broke but would be easy to replace (I can have done for the winner if it is not finished before the auction ends) This is a great looking, great running 4WD buggy for someone who likes to cruise with the wind in their hair. Take a look at other for sale and then come back. Keep in mind it is 41 years old and not a new car, but it is in good condition considering its age. Very rust free body and chassis. 1966 International Scout 800: The Scout 800 improved on many of the Scout 80’s features, by including a reworked interior, an improved dashboard and heater, and featured three new engines: a 196 4-cyl, or 232 I6 and in March of 1967 a 266ci V8 was also introduced. Styling changes outside included a new grill with the International wordmark and the IH logo being relocated to the hood, as well as new door handles and an easier to use tailgate system. 1966 introduced a new removable fiberglass or soft top option with an upgraded interior, called Sportop, as well as the introduction of the Champagne Series high-end option for the 800 model series. If you own a beach house or a lake house or even some land in the country, you know it is always great to have a simple and inexpensive "grocery getter" vehicle handy. This International Harvester 1200 Truck was purchased in a lot of other vehicles to be restored, but was never restored. It has heavy rust in a lot of places, and will very well make a good rat-rod starter! It has sat outside for a while,and as such will also need new upholstery, windows, tires, and the engine will likely need to be overhauled.

1974 International Loadstar Custom Car Hauler: The International Harvester Company (abbreviated first IHC and later IH) now Navistar International Corporation, was a United States agricultural machinery, construction equipment, vehicle, commercial truck, and household and commercial products manufacturer. In 1902, J. P. Morgan merged the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company and Deering Harvester Company, along with three smaller agricultural equipment firms, to form International Harvester. Loadstar was a series of medium and heavy-duty trucks built by International Harvester from 1962 to 1979. The Loadstar was primarily used for local delivery, construction, and agricultural applications, as well as utility and fire trucks. It replaced the earlier R-series, which had been built in medium (and heavier) duty form until the Loadstar arrived. It was widely recognizable by its grey grill and "butterfly" hood, but late models had one piece tilting hoods. Most had a medium-duty 4x2 chassis, but 4X4 and 6x4 models were also built. A rare four-door crew cab was also available.
