This is a 1980 IH Scout II body that the owner replaced with a fiberglass body. Half way through he realized he had made a huge mistake. The owners friend-body man talked him into the body swap even though he is an expert repairing metal bodies. He was the first one to admit they should have repaired the metal body as it would have been far cheaper, less hassle, and a better fit than the fiberglass body was. The metal body, doors, fenders, and tailgate were carefully dismantled as they reused the internal hardware in the new body. I have not seen the underside of the tub, but the body man said the inner rockers were good. I know from looking at the tub it will need outer rocker panels and a complete floor, of course much easier if the tub can be put on a rotisserie. The fenders and the doors have minor rust issues and half-ass repairs at the bottoms. The rear hatch door has minor rust and the inner fenders have some flat surface easy rust repairs needed. The tail gate, lower grill panel, and hood are all problem free. There are NO dents anywhere on any part of the whole body. There is no windshield frame. I will load 24 pictures but have twenty some others I can send if you are truly interested. Buyer must arrange shipping, but I may be able to help depending upon distance. Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 I gotta sell my Scout to get a more practical work truck. A restoration was completed last year and I purchased it April of 2014. It wasn’t a concurs rotisserie restoration but still very nicely done. Drove it home 350 miles and it has been my daily driver since. Has about 2650 miles since restoration. Super reliable Summer or Winter. Since it’s not a garage queen it’s not as pristine as last April but still in very nice shape.It has the 345 with 727 trans. Runs great and does like to mark its territory with a few drops of oil and trans fluid. Paint and body work is exceptional with very minor chips. Paint is Barret Jackson mocha pearl that really pops in the sun light. Softopper top is only 2 months old. No hardtop. Bushwhacker flares done right. Floors and interior sides are rhino lined. Seats reupholstered, gauges all new and marine grade radio and speakers. Custom front and rear bumpers from a shop in Pittsburgh, PA. Shocks, mounts, bushings all new. A lot of new parts under the hood, carb, hoses, belts, power brake booster etc. including an on-board air compressor. If you have a wrangler unlimited maybe we can work something out.
