The bed is on 2"x 2" steel runners approximately 8" apart but there is no stick with a make on it. The bed in in unbelievable good condition for a Michigan truck, it has no rust. The stinger works great but is missing the end pieces. There is a 14" gap behind the cab to the front of the bed. Headache rack on side puller which was removed when we got it, the controls that operate the bed are very smooth with little or no play. 5' tool box on each side with stainless steel covers.
