This was our family car for the past almost 5 years, we’ve put 70,000 miles on it and never had a problem. We intended to keep driving it for another 5 years but we had a long-overdue stroke of good luck and found ourselves with a newer car to drive, so we’re selling this one, a little reluctantly because this has been a great car for us. This is NOT a pristine vehicle. This vehicle is utilitarian, and looks it. We’re asking $3,500 or best offer, within reason. KBB on this car is closer to $5,000 but it needs some work and you may want to do more than we’d do, so we’re asking for less because we want to sell this car! Please ask any and all questions BEFORE bidding!! Like I’ve said we intended to continue driving this car, it’s a great car, and we’ve loved it. But, due to the nature of this sale and that we’re just “regular people” here, there is NO WARRANTY with this sale. Please take a careful look at it. We’ve divided the elements of the car into three categories: The Good, The Bad (things that you probably will consider to be actual detriments), and, The Ugly (the little niddley stuff that we never were going to fix because there’s no point to us and we just didn’t care. You may want to fix some of them, that’s up to you) The Good 111K+ miles. Still LOTS of useful life left in the car. Regular oil changes, running on fully synthetic high-mileage oil. Last one was over Independence Day weekend. New rear brakes - April 2015 Tires are only 1 year old and are in excellent condition New headlights (April 2015) Full size spare and jack included Automatic transmission Front Wheel drive 6-cylinder engine Newish battery, Dec 2013 Leather front and back seats Heated Seats that work Cruise Controls Heater Works Lots of room inside, holds 2 jumbo convertible carseats, stroller, coolers, etc. easily. Drives very smooth and is great in the snow CD Player works fine ABS Airbags (which did NOT deploy during the accident, it wasn’t *that* bad) TCS Fisheye type side mirrors that minimize blind spots Power seats Roof rack Trailer hitch Double cigarette lighters in the front, extra cigarette lighter in the trunk area in case you need power back there Two sets of keys including the clickers. The Bad The AC doesn’t work… it needs a new compressor for the AC system. This will be around $500 plus labor at a reliable mechanic, according to ours. We’ve been driving it for 3 summers without the AC, it’s totally doable and we’re still not sure that we would’ve fixed it. It was in an accident just over 5 years ago, before we bought it. One of us was riding in the car when the accident occurred and can vouch for the exact details of what happened. The rear passenger quarter-panel, hatchback door, and rear passenger side of the car were damaged. The frame was tested by a certified dealer and declared to be undamaged and safe. So, we bought the car, had it fixed up, have been driving it ever since and had intended to keep driving it. The rear passenger window doesn’t open. Don't know why, probably fixable if you take the door apart. The heat shield was damaged and rattles. Not unsafe, just sounds bad… you can tear the rest of the heat shield off if you want. The hatchback door wiring harness doesn’t match-up exactly so the door lock on that door doesn’t work. Also why the windshield wiper doesn’t work. A good mechanic could match-up the wires but I don’t know how complicated that is, we’ve never had it quoted. The mandatory high mileage slow oil leak. 1/2qt a month, or so. The Ugly There are dents and dings due to regular driving and also from the accident. The interior isn’t perfect either, there are some stains on the carpets and there’s some dirt… and maybe the occasional goldfish cracker. The radio doesn’t quite work… sometimes yes, sometimes no. Better luck on FM than AM for sure. The passenger side wheels are scraped from the accident The rear passenger brake/blinker light covers are being held on by duct tape. The lights work fine. The rear windshield wiper doesn’t work - see above. There is a fuse that’s blown causing the ABS and TBC dashboard lights to always be on. We had this checked out by our mechanic and he assured us these two elements both work, we just haven’t gotten around to replacing the fuse. Windshield got nicked by a rock. It was professionally assessed and filled-in by Safelite. Receipt will be provided. The previous owner put three bumper stickers on the rear bumper that we’ve covered with black duct tape
