Beautiful car, and with its 6-SPD MANUAL TRANSMISSION it is very fun to drive! On a strictly highway trip, I have seen up to 52 mpg! On my typical 10-mile rural commute, it typically fluctuates between 38 - 42 mpg. I did put the manual transmission in all caps to make sure that doesn't slip anyone's attention. When I bought the car, this was an absolute requirement in my book. But I'm finding that those of us who prefer to shift gears are in the minority these days. ;) This car is basically pristine inside and out. Very low mileage at just over 20,000. Very smooth running, and very zippy. No mechanical defects. I run Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Not an overload of bells & whistles, but it has the AUX port for hooking up your phone, and it is MP3 capable and equipped with XM satellite radio, if you're into that. Truly, the only reason I want to sell this car is because I am simply not a car person. I've driven an SUV for the last 13 years, and I thought maybe it was time to go back to a car. But every day I end up jumping right back into my 18-yr-old SUV, because I just can't seem to cut the cord with it. haha. So the Hyundai is just taking up valuable garage space (it IS garage kept at all times). Now, on to the vehicle history. The AutoCheck report does NOT do this car justice. Please let me explain before you let this hinder your decision! Once I understood the full story, it didn't deter me at all. I am the SECOND owner. It seems the original owner didn't have very good luck. It was purchased brand new from Savage Hyundai in Reading, PA. About 2 months later, it was in a minor fender bender (this information was given to me from the dealer I bought the car from, who claimed to know the girl who owned it from brand new). Of COURSE, you're going to turn any type of accident in to insurance when a car is that new. So this does show up as an accident when the car was barely 2 months old. There is absolutely no sign of any damage: all paint matches, everything is straight and solid. I can only imagine this had to be a VERY minor fender bender. Less than 2 years later, the original owner could no longer make her payments. PSECU repossessed the car, and sold it at their online repossession auction. A small dealer in York bought it from PSECU, and then re-sold to me. I THINK AutoCheck counts PSECU as the third owner. This is not correct, since both PSECU and the York dealer each only had the car temporarily for resale. I did speak to my local Hyundai dealer, and provided them with the VIN. They said they would happily CERTIFY the car as a Certified Pre-Owned Hyundai! But the fee is $459, and I just don't feel it is necessary. This car is truly "like new." Runs great, drives perfectly, looks amazing. Title is CLEAN and is in my hand, ready to go. Absolutely no worries here! :) And most importantly, please remember the following Hyundai warranties will transfer to you! AMERICA'S BEST WARRANTY! Hyundai Assurance Remainder of the 5-Year / 60,000 Mile Hyundai Assurance Warranty: Covers repair or replacement of any component manufactured or originally installed by Hyundai that is defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. This includes powertrain components! (Original owner gets 10-yr/100k, but all subsequent owners get 5-yr/60k) Remainder of 7-Year/UNLIMITED MILES Anti-Perforation Warranty: Covers perforation (rust hole through the body panel from inside to outside) corrosion of original Hyundai body sheet metal due to defects in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. Excludes surface corrosion. Remainder of 5-Year/UNLIMITED MILES 24-Hour Roadside Assistance: Amazing! Hyundai Roadside Assistance! Effective from the date the vehicle is delivered to first retail buyer, so for this particular car this service is good until 6/25/2017!
