Nice 2002 S2000 Yellow with almost new Black OEM Aluminum Hard Top installed by the "Hard Top Guy". Hard Top has pristine black leather headliner. Both tops have glass rear window with defroster. Soft top stays on and down when hard top is installed. Air, cruise, push button start. Strong 240hp 2.0 liter 4 cylinder, 9000 rpm redline. Uses timing chains not belts. Slick 6 speed transmission, good clutch with nice engagement point for quick driving. This car was in Arizona and used for long distance commuting before I had it shipped to Ohio. No rust, car hasn't been in snow, slush, salt, it sits stored and covered (nice fitted cover included in sale) during bad weather months. If you are looking at this car seriously, I don't need to tell you how great these cars are and how hard to find without putrid mechanical mods - I did install a K&N air filter! Some cosmetic small cosmetic changes, new floor mats with yellow "S2000" logo, silver/yellow radio cover and shift knob from S2000 CR. Last maintenance done April last year, brake fluid flush/fill, pre-track inspection, new plug igniter coils, only about 1000 miles since including one track weekend at Mid Ohio race course and one Sunday Auto X at Wilmington air park OH. At Mid Ohio, the driving instructor said this was the "best balanced car he'd ever been in!" A Cobra replica driver with a Roush Racing 427 engined monster said "it's amazing how that S2000 performs on the track, pulls away from me in the twisty section!" S2000 ran in same group as Porsche Cayman Ss, 911s, 'Vettes - held its own except at the end of the long straight where the big horsepower guys had 10-20 mph edge. At the Autocross "test and tune"in Wilmington, the reigning Class B stock "solo" champ driving his Honda S2000 commented on how great the vehicle looked and how terrific they are to autocross. Quickly found out why he is the national champ, he is very skilled, and his and my S2000 are superior AutoX vehicles. Currently have S2000 late model AP2 V2 17" wheels with 215/45 front and 245/40 rears (Falken Ziex ZE912) - nice wheels/tires, had a couple refinished when I got them, and all-season tires are fine for daily driving. For AutoX and track work, have AP2 V1 17" wheels (both fronts professionally refinished) with Bridgestone Potenzas RE-01Rs 225 front and 255 rear. Also have stock S2000 AP1 OEM 16" rims (no tires), you'll need these (and the 16"s will be included in the sale) with approved 200 UTOG tires this year to run B Stock/Street under SCCA solo rules. Running the 17s (due to wheel diameter increase) will put you in the Street Touring Roadster class. The sale includes either set of AP2 17" wheels you want and also the 16" OEM rims. This is a fairly small car, it can carry normal bag of golf clubs (not the giant bags), I am 5'11" and 250 lbs and do fit. My son drove at Mid Ohio and he is about 6' 1" tall. There is a lowering seat mount available after market if you are taller than that, other wise you might not fit! We have five cars for the two of us, and I'm retiring this year (mid 60s) so some of the old man toys need to go. Great little car, will miss it! Sold as is, where it's at, no warranty implied or included. Your or 3rd party inspections welcomed by professional companies - absolutely no joy rides, any test drives will include me and close monitoring. I'll cooperate with professional auto carriers, but if you get one of these bargain outfits that want me to stay available for a weekend, I make no promises! Transportation is your responsibility. You can drive this car anywhere, but about 3 hours on the highway is as much as I like. The hard top does transform the vision and quietness of the cockpit markedly! And no, I won't sell the hard top separately. This is a five star reviewed vehicle. Here's what Edmunds says:Edmunds Expert Review of the 2002 Honda S2000 ConvertibleA sports car that makes few compromises, the 2002 Honda S2000 is one of the more visceral cars sold in America. And yes, that's a good thing.SafetyProsAgile chassis, rev-happy engine, minimalist design, optional hardtop.ConsNot much low-end torque, no passenger airbag cut-off switch. What's New for 2002For 2002, Honda has added a glass rear window with a defroster, an improved transmission and a more powerful audio system. There are also a handful of minor changes that only '00-'01 S2000 owners would notice, such as chrome-bezel taillights, an upgraded center console, door panel net storage pockets, a new shifter knob, an aluminum-accented foot rest and silver trim interior accents.
