Okay, this is your chance to own a nice, genuine del Sol vtec. A true vtec is really hard to find. I looked for a car this nice for years actually. I finally found this one in January 2015. After I got it, I realized it wasn't so comfortable for my 60 year old body with a bad back; the old gray mare just ain't what she used to be! To add to problems, our RAV4 (that we wanted to keep another ten years) was totaled by a LOL pulling in front of us from a left turn and we had to buy a new car (Outback) and now have a car payment on that. So, I really can't afford to keep this great del Sol as just a once in awhile, nice day car. The nice thing about this car: from what the seller told me, it was ONLY owned by adults, who always took car of the maintenance. And NOT raced or abused. The prior owner even bought it from his friend, after waiting for years for his friend to want to sell it. I have a big stack of maintenance receipts, which I will forward on to buyer. The timing belt was changed at something like 88K miles. When I got the car, I took it for state inspection; it needed rear brakes and they suggested that the rotors also be replaced, though not needed right away. It also got new rack boots and alignment; oil change, of course. I spent over $800. I asked the garage to look it over for anything that would look like a problem (since I was planning on keeping this car), and they found nothing. This car always starts right up for me, even after sitting a couple weeks. It has been in some heavy rains, and I see absolutely no sign of water leakage. This is a used car, used every day by normal people, so it is not a garage queen. BTW, sometimes garage queens are not such a great thing. My worker bought a super low mileage Cadillac from her pastor; right away, it was trouble; things deteriorating from just sitting. Of course, this is a Honda. This month's Consumer Reports says you can easily get 200K from a car with proper maintenance, and I am betting this is such a car. Now, if you look at the photos, you will see a tear in the driver's seat from seat belt that is apparently common to del Sols; a little buckling on the arm rest (about the same on both sides); seat covers look a little sun faded; there are several parking lot TINY dings, especially in the left door that you probably cannot see in the photo. The prior owner just had the car repainted and painted over this tiny dings, that is how small they are. I also see a new TINY scratch on the bumper (please magnify) and don't know how somebody did that. The prior owner did not put the stickers back on. You can easily buy a del Sol and dohc vtec sticker from eBay or various auto parts place. I was going to, but then thought I'd rather now have every kid knowing this was a vtec that could be stolen and maybe the motor removed. It has a nice Kenwood aftermarket stereo with remote control. The antenna does not go up and down; I honestly don't know if it is supposed to, but it just stays up as shown. The car came to me with an extra roof in the trunk; if you see that in the photos, it is not included, I imagine I will sell separately. The prior owner said it does have a spare and jack, etc., although I didn't look down that far! So, if you want a nice, adult owned real dohc vtec, here it is. No mods, all stock. Buyer responsible to have vehicle shipped or bring plates to drive home. Local buyers can look at, if you contact us. Of course, have to add, this is a used car and, although I know of and see NO problems, sold as is.
