1992 Honda Civic VX hatchback. Unmolested and nearly 100% original. I am the second owner. Car was purchased new at Classic Honda in Orlando. I have the original purchase order. Just hit 276K. Always driven, never sat to rot. Factory D15Z1 with original 5 speed tranny and original clutch still in excellent condition.I believe is still has the original rear brakes. This car was used as a commuter and never ran hard. Adult owned. The paint is still shiny, as it has always been garage kept. There are some dents and dings, but nothing that requires attention. Zero rust. Has the normal small tear on the driver seat side. All the maintenance has been done through Honda and the car runs and drives fine. The upstream O2 sensor is bad, so I have it unplugged and its running in closed loop mode. It averages around 38mpg now. With a new O2, it should get around 51mpg. This car was ordered with Air Conditioning and it blows cold, but will bring the idle low. Has 4 matching Goodyears, but will need new front tires and probably shocks & struts soon. It took me 4 years to find this car. My wife and I had one back in college and we wanted one for my son before he got his driver's license. Well now the time has come to get his license and he had to have knee surgery today and doc says it'll be 3 months before he could drive a manual transmission. I am reluctant to sell this car but at the same time I know he'll want to drive to school as he gets better. The cover photo is the way I bought it and the remaining photos are the way it is today. We have only put 1200 miles on the car since getting it last year and that was a 6 hr round trip and a few errands around town and my son driving with his learning permit. There is only thing on the car that is broke; the door lock on the inside of the driver's side; it has to be locked with a key. The car is in remarkable condition with no warning lights or issues. The a/c works, the heater works, etc........ There are not any tears in the seats. All the buttons and controls are in good condition on the interior. Let me tell you what I have done to the car and I have everything stock that will go with the car: * The original muffler was rotted out so I bought a MagnaFlow lifetime warranty stainless steel front to back exhaust system (I have original pipe)* The paint was oxidized so rather than having it painted, I had it wrapped with 3M wrap by WrapPro in Florence, Ms* My son wanted custom wheels rather than stock so I bought ultra light Motegi 17" wheels and Toyo tires (I have original wheels)* After putting the wheels on, the front looked too high so we put Skunk 2" springs in the front (I have the original springs)* The rear glass shocks were replaced because the deck would not stay up by itself* I installed new factory style mirrors on both sides of the car because this model only came with driver's side and I wanted my son to have both.* I installed a new HONDA O2 sensor (not aftermarket)* The boots on CV joints were cracked so I replaced both entire shafts because I wanted the car to be dependable for my 16 yr old. (The only reason).* Installed a Pioneer CD player with Harman Kardon speakers that all fit in original placements.* Bought new factory Honda floor mats That's it. NOTHING PERFORMANCE HAS BEEN DONE TO ENGINE OR COMPUTER. We wanted it to look cool but get awesome gas mileage. Everything original that came off of the car, comes with the car so if you don't want it to look like it does today, you can put it back exactly the way it came from Honda. To my knowledge, I am the 3rd owner but the 2nd owner only had the car for 2 months and he wanted to see if he could sell it for what VX's were going for and he was happy with the money that he made off of me (he got it cheap). The 1st owner was an older couple and didn't know the value. Hopefully you can tell that I took a lot of pride in this car getting it ready for my son and I know that whoever buys it will be just as happy as they will not have to do anything but drive it. The miles are low for its age and the miles are low for what these cars a capable of going (as long as you take care of them and change the oil). This particular Honda model has been documented by people that have driven them over 600K miles and still going.
