Selling a 1997 Honda Civic DX Hatchback with 90K original miles!, This is a one owner car from day one and always serviced on time and when needed. This car has NO mods of any type and completely stock. The exterior of the car is overall clean, the passenger rear quarter panel has a little corrosion over the wheel well (see pic) other than that this car is clean!!!! The interior of this car is very clean and free of any major defects. There is slight wear on the driver seat bolster (see pic) other than that the interior is very clean. All the options function as they should with NO known problems. Mechanically the car is sound and runs and drives out well. The clutch is strong and shifts smoothly. I was using this car as a daily driver from Toledo to Ann Arbor every day for about a year. It was a great car at over 40MPG highway, until the exhaust started hanging. I'm not good with cars, so we just got a different car and I let it sit for a long time. I'm told it would have been a cheap fix, so it was stupid on our part, it just seemed like it would be very expensive to fix but I guess not. Anyway, it ended up sitting for an extended period of time and I guess one of my neighbors called the city on me for not having it plated so I need to sell the thing and the price reflects that. Because it has been sitting a long time, I have no idea what might be wrong with it, I can only tell you it ran very well before the exhaust started hanging on it. A couple of the tires also look pretty low to my eye. This is an AS-IS sale and I'm telling you that the vehicle does NOT run, so please do not do something crazy like give me a negative feedback for not reading the auction properly. I will also not be cleaning any of the interior or anything like that and the exterior is in rough shape and has rust on it in some places. I'm disclosing everything that I know. Umm... we put a new MP3 cd player in the car a couple years ago that cost us over $100 and works well and is pretty cool, so I thought I should add that. I can't really think of anything else. If you know these particular cars you know how rare they are with this low mileage and in this condition. Well worth fixing up and keeping it running. That being said, probably not worth trying to flip. Service records since 1988. Same owner since 1991. In spite of what the Vehicle Report seems to suggest, this is a three (3) owner vehicle. 1st owner was from 1984-1989, 2nd owner was from 1989-1991, we are the 3rd owner from 1991-present (2015). In person inspections prior to buying or offering are encouraged and welcomed. Sold AS IS, and I want you to know what you're buying! I'm told by my autobody and welder friend that body panels for these are still available which could make repair of the rusted areas much easier, though possibly more expensive depending on how much the front fenders and floor panels would cost. I haven't looked into that.

It's my personal car. I bought it to fix and sell. I've been driving months and it runs so good. I won't give it away cause it gets 30 mpg in the city and has auto transmission. No Hot rod parts ever. I just put a new exhaust on it, the brakes are good, the interior is good, has seat covers because the drivers seat bolster is ripped. Floor mats, radio does not work, AC compressor not hooked up needs belt. These are the repairs I did to make it road worthy. timing belt, water pump, thermostat, spark plug o rings, distributor o ring, camshaft seals, valve cover gasket cap rotor plugs wires new distributor tires mufflers/exhaust Could use a motor mount for trans in the future...maybe all of them. I have 1800 bucks and all of my labor into so no low balls please. The sign on back glass I will remove upon sale and I'll even detail it for you! It's a little, gas stingy pocket rocket that rides on rails! drives straight and true!

**CONTACT ME AT 440-339-4341** This is my 1980 Honda Civic 1500 DX 5-speed hatchback with 28,813 original miles. I believe this car is one of the cleanest, best-condition and lowest-mileage examples of any Civic of this generation you will find for sale. This car is astoundingly clean and in museum-quality condition. I have history of this car going back to new. This car was sold new on 1/16/80 at Trickett Honda in Madison, TN. I have the original sales invoice and purchase receipt for this car ($4826 plus tax!), as well as the original Honda dealer paperwork including Honda books and warranty papers, owner's manual, dealer pre-delivery inspection and much more. I even have the business card from the salesperson who sold the car new. This car originated and spent the first 20 years of its life in Tennessee which would help explain the excellent condition. The car has never been driven in road salt nor has it been in extreme climates. The body is the cleanest I could ever imagine for a 1980 Civic. This body is ultra clean and solid and looks beautiful underneath. The car was repainted several years ago and an excellent job was done. This is a high-quality paint job done carefully and done right. The paint has a deep, clear gloss and it looks excellent. The body panels are straight, clean and line up well. This body is outstandingly clean and well-preserved with little if any rust to be found anywhere, even in the smallest crevice. There is no exterior body panel rust. The tires are nearly new with full tread remaining. This car starts up smoothly and it runs and drives very well. The engine runs beautifully and it is smooth, powerful and runs great. The transmission shifts perfectly through the gears and the clutch is strong. The steering and suspension are tight and the brakes stop well. This car does not have any known mechanical problems or issues and it runs and drives very well. I wouldn't hesitate to get in this car and drive anywhere- this is a reliable, great-driving car. In 2002 the car was purchased from the estate of the original owner after a long period of storage. Extensive care was taken to mechanically service the car and bring it to excellent running order after being in storage. The following is a summary of some of the work done: timing belt, v-belt, numerous and extensive seals and gaskets, wheel cylinders, thermostat, master cylinder, ignition coil, plugs, fuel filter brake shoes, ignition wires. Due to a broken original timing belt, the cylinder head was removed and rebuilt including a valve job, resurface and pressure test, new valve guides and valve stem seals along with a new cylinder head gasket. Since the car was brought out of storage in 2002, it has been driven sparingly, only as a specialty/classic car used on nice days. This car has been treated as a collector's vehicle and has only been receiving improvements and upgrades to achieve its current condition. During my ownership, I had the interior of the car restored. The original interior had deteriorated from age and sun. I had all the seats removed from the car and fully reupholstered and rebuilt, with new interior carpet installed and all interior plastics and vinyls dyed and refreshed. I also had the original carburetor replaced with a Weber which is much more reliable and the result is smooth, quiet and powerful running. The original carburetor and air cleaner have been preserved for the new owner in case you want them. This car has a clean and clear Ohio title showing 28,xxx ACTUAL miles. This is a 35-year old car and probably one of the nicest in existence. However of course it is not perfect. In the interest of completeness, this is a full list of any known defects: You may notice the windshield is cracked in the photos; however I just had the windshield and gasket replaced. There are a few minor dings on the roof of the car. The silver plating on the rear trim badges that read "Honda Civic" and "1500" etc is worn. The glovebox is closed and does not open. The exterior roof rails are not in place. There is no radio installed. There is only one windshield wiper (it does work). The trunk lock cylinder is missing. Some of the interior plastic trim pieces such as the vent grates and trim panels etc are somewhat worn or deteriorated from age. If you fill the fuel tank past a certain level you can smell some fuel. There are some dings along the pinch-weld at the bottom of the car from the car being put on an automotive lift or jack during its life. This car is being sold as-is with no warranty. Here's our 1993 Honda Civic DX Hatchback with the 1.5l in-line 4-cyliner motor and 5-speed manual transmission. Has dealer-installed air-conditioning (needs to be converted to R134 and charged) and aftermarket CD/radio. Runs and drives well; has good after-market alloy-wheels, fancy tires, brakes, and clutch; paint on hood is faded, hood is bent at support-rod mount (from someone trying to close hood without removing rod); two spots of rust - one over each rear wheel-well. Stainless-steel exhaust with 2-year-old catalytic converter. This has always been in our family. My wife bought it new, her sister had it for a while, then my son drove it. He's the one that put on the fancy wheels, tires, and the obnoxious exhaust. I wired it for the secondary amplifier (included) and subwoofer (not included). Car is pretty solid for the year. Body is straight with very minimal "Honda" rust starting. It's been in the family and a reliable daily driver for the past ten years. Miles will go up slightly since it is still being driven almost daily. PA inspected until March. There are a few aftermarket parts and others have been replaced recently. I'll list everything below. The is a turn-key car so no work is needed to pick up and go or swap in a bigger engine like most people do with these. I'm listing this for my brother but I used to own the car as well and still love it. Pros -Megan racing header -Magnaflow catalytic converter -Apexi Noir Complete cat back exhaust -All suspension was replaced in 2010 with stock parts -Front and rear lip kit -Brand new fuel lines and clutch recently installed -All brakes are good -Radiator, spark plugs, timing belt and tensioner installed in last 20k miles -Alloy Honda 15" rims from a 2003 Civic Si w/ decent matching Kumho tires, 50% tread -Black housing headlights and tail lights Cons -Drivers side door handle is broken (including parts needed to fix) -Occasional issues with the wiper selector (including parts to fix) -Rear wiper needs replaced -Cabin hood release handle is broken but it can still be used to pop the hood (can include parts needed to fix if wanted) -Valve cover leaks a little (typical) -AC belt is not installed but I think it works (haven't cared to use it in the past few years) Thanks for looking and please ask any questions.
