This is my 2002 Honda Civic LX sedan. I went with the LX rather than the EX because I’m 6’2” and the EX has a sunroof. The EX doesn’t have enough headroom for anyone close to my height. I acquired this car and it went straight to Classic Motorsports for service and upgrades. I’m a championship winning (SCCA) autocross driver and Classic builds all my street cars and my race cars. This is a fun, well-sorted, never wrecked or raced car. It is a wonderful daily driver! CHASSIS/SUSPENSION/BRAKES- I place a high value on handling but this is a street car so it also has to be comfortable. The modifications were carefully selected to provide maximum value and minimal compromise to ride quality. Note that the first three items on this list are maintenance items and cost more than $700. The rest of the items plus installation was an additional $1200. This is my 2002 Honda Civic LX sedan. I went with the LX rather than the EX because I’m 6’2” and the EX has a sunroof. The rest of the items plus installation was an additional $1200. o New front wheel bearings.o New pads in front, new shoes at rear.o Power steering system was flushed and filled.o Eibach Pro-kit springs mildly lowered the car, improving handling and looks. What’s great is that the car isn’t so low that snow, speedbumps, road debris, gravel roads, or other everyday life situations are a problem.o Stock front sway bar (25.4 mm) upgraded with greaseable Energy Suspension bushings.o Rear sway bar upgraded from 15 mm to 19 mm using an Acura RSX Type-S bar. This is the perfect complement to the spring and front sway bar package. o 17x7 Voxx wheels and Continental 205/50 tires. I purchased these used but in good condition. They improve steering precision and grip without ruining the ride quality. The front tires have a lot more tread than the back tires (purchased that way.) You’ll notice that Honda centercaps are installed. I’ll also include the Voxx cetercaps. o Alignment. DRIVETRAINo Air filtero Oil changeo PCV Valveo Spark plugso Thermostato Transmission fluid change EXTERIORo Vent visors. They came with the car.o As you can see from the photos, the body is pretty straight aside from the odd ding here and there. This is the original paint and it shines up nicely. INTERIOR- This car has power windows, power locks, power mirrors, and is tan cloth. The seats are comfortable and don’t have much wear given the mileage other than a few spots on the front seats. The driver side is worse than the passenger seat and a close-up is included. o Installed new floormats similar to WeatherTech.o Installed new Kenwood BT362U. This CD player has an AUX jack, a USB port, and Bluetooth. It syncs up with Apple and Android-based devices and is Pandora compatible. It has a hands free function and the mic is mounted on the driver’s A-pillar. The manual and remote are included. Stock, in similar cosmetic condition, and without any recent service performed, these cars often go for $2800 or more. I spent well over $2,000 in very recent service and upgrades. I realize that some of the upgrades (ex. rear sway bar, stereo) wouldn’t be on some people’s shopping lists but they contribute to make this a well-balanced, user-friendly, and fun car. At the Buy It Now price, I’m losing $500. I get to pay off some unexpected medical bills and the buyer gets a great car. Thanks for looking!
