2004 Honda Element I have here for sale a 2004 Honda Element EX with around 140,000 miles on it. As everyone knows this is very low mileage for a Honda. You can get well over 400,000 miles on it with proper maintenance and regular oil changes. This car runs and drives like a brand new car. It is AWD/4WD It will go anywhere. I have owned it for a couple years now. When I bought it I gave $7500.00 for it and it had a bad transmission. Some of these Hondas had problems with a couple parts in the transmission, really dont remember what those parts were but if you Google it you can find out. I had the transmission completely overhauled with updated/heavy duty parts that eliminates these problems. Around 5000 miles ago I had the timing belt/chain changed that is supposed to be done at 150,000 miles and had the head gasket replaced at the same time. I have the receipt, it cost $2600.00 so it will be a very long time before it needs it again. I just had all 4 rotors and brakes changed. I also changed the alternator and starter not long ago, not because they were bad but if you ask anyone that knows me, I am annal about these things. This was my wifes car and I always change parts like brakes, starters and alternators before they go bad. Heard of Murphy s law? Well dont break it, lol It is always best to change these parts before they go bad, I assure you when they do go bad on any car, it will be in the middle of winter, the coldest night a hundred miles from anywhere and I dont take anything like that to chance when dealing with the wifes ride. This car has brand new tires on it and I believe I have 4 new snow tires that go with it. We always run snow tires on all of our cars/trucks in the winter time. In the snow they make a world of difference. Anyhow, this car is very versatile, there is so many things you can do with a Honda element and so many dealer oem items you can buy for this, even a tent that goes on the roof made by Honda. Ok, the question everyone ask when buying a car is why am I selling it, well my wife has 4 cars now, this one, a Subaru, a 2013 ford Fiesta, a 2014 Chevy spark and this is the one that she never drives unless she is going to the store to buy something large so it has to go. The only damage to the car is on the hood. My wife use to go to Walmart and get her oil changed, well they broke the hood latch and when it would not close they slammed it a few times and dented it, of course they denied this and it is not that noticeable and I am sure it can be fixed rather easily or even buy one from a salvage yard for around $80.00 It has a 2.4 liter 4cyl engine with a 4 speed transmission. This car needs nothing but a new owner. I am asking $6000.00 for it. Thanks for your time. Dale
