This is a nice 2000 Insight with a clean title. It is a nice car that gets great gas mileage because of the design of the car. It is made of high strength aluminum, has the preferred 5 speed transmission and weighs only 2200 pounds. That is 1000 pounds less than the Toyota Prius. It has a newly replaced IMA hybrid battery at the Honda Dealer on August 28th 2013 at 169,253 miles. It is the rarest color that Honda used for the 1st Gen Insight and is called "Citrus". Many Insight collectors say this color will be the only Insight that will actually be collectable in the very near future. I have not detailed it so it is dusty in the photos. Overall I'd give the paint a 9 out of 10. There are no blemishes beyond normal wear. The interior is stain free and it is clean. The tires are the recommended Bridgestone Potenza's, in good condition at 80% tread I'd say and the wheels are in good shape. The a/c blows cold and the heater works. Everything operates as it should. The IMA battery charges as it should and the autostop works perfectly because it is virtually brand new. My car comes with a cargo net for the back area and also the zipper bag Honda made available on certain models. It shifts as it should with no downshift grind. All VIN stickers are where they should be, even on the back bumper cover. This is an important question to ask other sellers. If you are paying top dollar for a 1st Gen Insight you need an accident free Insight which this is. If it is missing vin stickers you should ask why before buying. These cars last well into the 400,000 miles mark and will also go up in value because they are rare finds. Honda built very few of these cars world wide. Even Jay Leno, an avid car collector, says the 1st Generation Insight will soon be collectors items. They cost $30,000 to build. Honda still services them also. This model of Honda Insight is still to this day the absolute king of mpg of all hybrids. Sure you can buy an all electric Chevy Volt or even a Tesla but do you really want to spend $45,000 to $70,000 on a car that has a charge rate of just 5 miles per hour? Talk about limitations. I see these poor electric car owners waiting in line just so they can grab a quick 15 minute charge at one of 2 or maybe 3 charging stations at the local mall, so they are not stuck and need to walk home. I guess this is just part of electric car ownership. For basically the price of a used Ford Focus you buy my car and get 55+ miles per gallon or more depending on how you drive. You can literally drive for 600 miles without stopping for gas in my car. Where I live that is a trip to Las Vegas and back on 1 tank of fuel! The 1st Gen Insight was introduced into the US a full 7 months before the Toyota Prius so was the very 1st Hybrid on the market. Even today in 2016 no Prius or other hybrid car can beat my car's mpg. Here is the proof (add a 'w' to each before copy and pasting) ww.motherearthnews.com/green-transportation/miles-per-gallon-cars-zb0z11zblon.aspx and a neat insight video ww.youtube.com/watch?v=9WYypHmERtw Please remember my car is the rarest color of all Insight models sold in the US so that is why my final price is will be more than other Insights in more common colors. You can drive all month without seeing another Insight on the road. You might drive an entire year or more before seeing a Citrus Insight. They are really that rare. Only 200 were ever made out of 17,000 total worldwide. Of this number some have said fewer than 100 might still be "alive" in the world and of this number fewer than 50 might be in the US but this is pure speculation. Lastly, I am a small car dealer here in Orange, California. This means you are protected in your purchase because I am licensed and bonded. I specialize in these Insights. If you buy this and live in California you will also need to add salestax. I pay all other fees. You pay sales tax even with a private party sale but you pay it at the dmv so it does not feel like an extra fee, just expensive registration. But I collect this sad to say, not the dmv. In fact I complete all dmv paperwork for free if you want. If you prefer to do it that is fine also. If you live out of state you do not need to pay me sales tax. I am also just taking a guess at my price. There is an identical car that sold a few months ago for $12,500 but with less miles so I know these are finally hitting the "collectable price". But if you are buying it for your daily driver I understand if you do not agree with my price so let me know what you think is more fair and we can work something out. Honestly I'd rather keep it and sell my silver or one of my red 5 speeds but for now I will try to sell this one. I can also pick you up at the airport if you buy it and live out of state. You can then have an easy and inexpensive drive home. Choose John Wayne Santa Ana if you want to fly here. If you want to have it shipped I can take it to the shipper for you. If you need me to store the Insight for you I an do this for up to 1 month free. Send me a message and we can work this part out . Regarding cruise control, no Insights have this as Japanese makers felt the drives would not be long enough to install it. You can install one pretty easily for about $300. Here is how to do it ww.insightcentral.net/owners/mods/cruise1.htm ((put an extra w so you can click on it due to Ebay's rules about including sites, guess they think some people advertise or promote other stuff in their listing besides what they are selling)) Sorry this has to be said: This is a listing to buy my car. If you win the auction you are legally obligated under Ebay's rules to pay for it. If you need a bank loan, need to ask your wife or husband or pastor or mom or check with your psychic advisor,,, please have these issues resolved before you bid, not after. If you win the auction you just bought the car. This is why a deposit is required. It really is that simple. I have done a full 7 day auction so you have plenty of time to ask questions. Please let me know if there is anything I can help answer for you. I love these cars and drive one daily.

Up for sale is my beloved 1978 Honda Civic CVCC Hondamatic. I have owned this car for about 7 years and have devoted my life restoring it under my ownership. This involves lots of little detail refinishing or replacing worn parts with new old stock (NOS) . Most if not all parts for this car have been discontinued and made it very difficult for me to obtain. The car's odometer reads at 72,348 and is original and has not rolled over. I recently installed a new engine from Japan about less than 500 miles ago. The engine was replaced due to a blown head gasket. I have also kept the original engine and it will be given to the new owner. The radiator was recently repaired completely to prevent overheating. The carburetor was also replaced with a new one as well. The car runs great and will accelerate with no problem. the speedometer displays accurate speed when driving. I also had new tires installed less than 100 miles ago. This car is hardly driven, only 1 every two weeks for less than 25 miles. She comes fully loaded with tons of original Honda OEM accessories! Items includes, NOS 78 overhead console, Pioneer roof rear speakers, Pioneer cassette player, Honda rubber floor mats ( small tear on driveside ), Rear door card speakers, Luggage rack, 2 spoke wood wheel, front & rear Mud guards, center storage console, Passenger door mirror, jdm fog lamps, and super rare genuine civic turbine wheels + spare! Deluxe gauges were installed as an upgrade from 5 speed models which displays a tachometer and separate fuel and temperature pod in the center of the dash. The Deluxe gauges were also refinishing giving it a new look! I also made a tonneau cover for the rear trunk compartment. JDM rs Tail lights were installed as well. I also replaced all the exterior emblems with NOS ones. the only ones that are not nos but were personally refinished by me are the grill cvcc and the two side fender emblems. These accessories are a super rare gem and almost impossible to find. The Paint on the car is original. I took the liberty to refinish or replace all the small details on the car to make it look even more new. the front grill was refinished by me. The headlights are changed with hella glass headlights h4 conversion W/HID kit. NOS oem windshield molding were installed. There is not one cracked lens on any of the marker lamps. the chrome on all the lights are still very shiny and are not pitting in any way. The car does have a few dings and very minor surface rust ( about less than 5% )in some areas but not an issue at all. The car overall shines nicely in the sun and alway a head turner. The interior is in excellent condition with the exception of some repair marks on the driver left bottom and upper bolster. However, I do have spare oem blue interior fabric which will be given to the new owner so you can get the seat redone to look as good as new as the rest of the interior. All the knobs switches are in good to pristine condition! nos headlight switch, hazard switch, and intermittent wiper switch was installed. The dash is perfect with no cracks or signs of wear in the wood grain on the dash itself, just phenomenal! Trunk area is also super clean. one rear seat has the 3 point seat belt conversion. The interior roof liner and sun visors are very clean however there is a small tear near the driver side corner but cannot be seen when the sun visors are up. I am willing to sell the car without the front grill emblem, rear civic cvcc emblem, 2 spoke wood wheel, honda cassette player, overhead console, rear roof speakers, rear door card speakers, jdm rs tail lights, rubber floor mats, fog lamp kit, and turbine wheels for $9,000. I will remove all of those parts and replace the emblems, 12" oem wheels, and regular oem 3 spoke non-wood wheel. Or everything as is for $13,000. This car is pretty much original, not restored with aftermarket parts. I honestly do not wish to part ways, but it's time for me to let her go. I hope this beauty will go to a good new home!

All legal SWAP - CA Bar LegalUSDM GSR Motor and Trans, I was told it had around 75-80K miles on the motor when I purchased it, but I do not have paperwork confirming it, it does pull nicely and idles smoothly. ALL New rear trunk shocks and OEM hardware (Shocks are notorious for going out and the glass not staying up when you open it) Lowered on springs... Not sure what kind but I think they may be old school neuspeed judging from the color. Cannot confirm RETAINS Factory A/C Recently recharged and working! Manual steering, locks and windowsPassed smog recently**Car is turn key ready to cruise... To be show worthy I'd recommend new drivers side fender and hood ( dented) and possibly a clean repaint...
