A rare opportunity to own a very tidy example of Honda's kei class car, originally sold in Japan to meet displacement requirements under the vehicle tax codes of the day. Powered by an air-cooled two cylinder 600CC (36CI) engine mated to a four speed manual transmission, this adorably cute car has great pep for the city. Weighing just 1,300LB and measuring 123 inches, the Z600 is the perfect car for having style in the city. Freeway travel is not an issue if you're happy in the right lanes, with the Z having a top speed of about 65MPH. This particular example has been treated to an exacting restoration by the second owner and has been thoroughly gone through to be both mechanically excellent and aesthetically very pleasing. Elite Performance, Northern California's premier Z specialist, decided the engine did not require a full rebuild, instead opting to adjust the valves, breaker points, recap the spark plugs, transmission gaskets, instal a custom shut mounts, axel seals, ignition timing adjustment, all suspension components and running gear replaced and a custom X-formation Flowmaster twin pipe stainless exhaust system. This is consistent with the original owner's claim that the 18,214 mileage is original. Instruments were upgraded to include temperature, volts and oil pressure. All replaced hardware in stainless. Brakes completely gone through with new hardware. Car sits on very nice Minilite mags with under 500 miles on new rubber. The car was completely stripped down and repined inside and out by Sunny Auto Body. This included all chrome and brightwork being reconditioned or replaced and is all in excellent condition. Austin Healey mirror kit included wing and rear view mirrors. Custom front lip. All weather stripping was replaced alone with front and rear windshield gaskets. Interior reupholstery work by Enrique upholstery, complete with headliner, door inserts and carpet and is in brilliant shape. Interior is also in great shape, with the slightest cracking evident in the dash. Everything works when tested. Custom higher end Alpine sound system. Powered by an air-cooled two cylinder 600CC (36CI) engine mated to a four speed manual transmission, this adorably cute car has great pep for the city. Weighing just 1,300LB and measuring 123 inches, the Z600 is the perfect car for having style in the city. Freeway travel is not an issue if you're happy in the right lanes, with the Z having a top speed of about 65MPH. This particular example has been treated to an exacting restoration by the second owner and has been thoroughly gone through to be both mechanically excellent and aesthetically very pleasing. Elite Performance, Northern California's premier Z specialist, decided the engine did not require a full rebuild, instead opting to adjust the valves, breaker points, recap the spark plugs, transmission gaskets, instal a custom shut mounts, axel seals, ignition timing adjustment, all suspension components and running gear replaced and a custom X-formation Flowmaster twin pipe stainless exhaust system. This is consistent with the original owner's claim that the 18,214 mileage is original. Instruments were upgraded to include temperature, volts and oil pressure. All replaced hardware in stainless. Brakes completely gone through with new hardware. Car sits on very nice Minilite mags with under 500 miles on new rubber. The car was completely stripped down and repined inside and out by Sunny Auto Body. This included all chrome and brightwork being reconditioned or replaced and is all in excellent condition. Austin Healey mirror kit included wing and rear view mirrors. Custom front lip. All weather stripping was replaced alone with front and rear windshield gaskets. I recently moved close to an Oakland Bart with my fiance and we only need 1 car, so we're going to use her hybrid and sell Civic. I bought this car with 30,000 miles on it from Honda of Serramonte, and I've basically only used it to drive around the Bay Area. I worked and lived in Marin, so not many freeway miles. Oil changed every 4000 miles or so. I always keep receipts in the glovebox of any work done to the car (normal wear and tear). Mechanically sound. Honda of Oakland and Serramonte are principle places where's its had maintenance. New front brake pads and rotors. New tires as of Dec 2013. I bought this car in 2005. Currently this car is a non op; went to fire it up in the spring and engine turned over but didn't want to risk blowing the seals. With that said, "Local Pick-Up" will require a tow to the nearest auto shop at buyer's discretion, unless the buyer prefers that it be delivered at their expense. When the car was last operated, the clutch and transmission were stiff for my liking, but awesome and powerful. NEVER RACED. There was an accident that damaged the front end on the passengers side . However it was repaired and given mismatched panels to replace the damaged ones (fenders/bumpers). Despite the frankensteined panel look the car drove true. Left non-op for several years. Registration is behind. Car HAS: CLEAN TITLE: NO LIEN OR SALVAGE Original interior: with no door tears. The rest of the cabin interior is clean and tidy. Interior carpet is decent and needs cleaning, however, other than typical wear and tear, there are no major stains. Comes with Dx floor mats. Original tools and spare tire Rear compartment cover is actually still attached and in working order. Aftermarket Tail lights. Original OEM taillights also included in sale. Aftermarket pedals installed. AC works I have the center console piece, in addition to the oem handbrake, and shift knob and will reinstall prior to sale. Car NEEDS: Paint Job: The body has little to no rust but, lots of paint oxidation due to sitting out in the sun when parked, as opposed to parked in garage. Seals and Lines Checked: Due to sitting for a long period, this vehicle should have the fluid lines and engine seals looked at and changed if necessary before it becomes roadworthy again. I bought this car this car in 2007 to use as my commuter car. This car has been a solid car the entire time I have owned it, save the time it has sat due to neglect and lack of finances. I have no time to investigate repairs and registration; I am not a mechanic, but have tried to keep track of this car, so I will do my best to list the problems that I am aware of. Currently this car is a non op the moment, but with a new battery to test it, it seemed to want to fire up. I didn't press it as I didn't want to blow the seals on the engine. No damage to frame or quarter panel, mostly just a blowout and torn cv boot. Repaired area only to have an SUV back into me in a parking lot as they exited a parking space and damage taillight area slightly. Maintained oil and engine up to the point of non-op. Left non-op for up to a year. Registration is behind, but I kept the car running and mobile until about a year ago when funds forced me to chose housing or a vehicle. Car HAS: CLEAN TITLE: NO LIEN OR SALVAGE Aftermarket Upper/lower front/rear sway/tie bars: Makes for a nice stable ride that will turn on a dime. Original interior: with no door tears, has a tear on the driver seatback in typical place where normal wear and tear occur (currently covered with seat cover). Just needs some floormats of your choice and she is good to go, unless you are a stickler for stock and want to track down some seats with no tears in them. Paint Job: The body has little to no rust but, lots of paint oxidation due to sitting out in the sun when parked, as opposed to parked in garage. Seals and Lines Checked: Due to sitting for a long period, this vehicle should have the fluid lines and engine seals looked at and changed if necessary before it becomes roadworthy again. Rear Passenger TailLight/QuarterPanel Repair: The tail light requires a simple pull and hammer to repair slight dent (push in). Car was tagged in a parking lot by an SUV as it backed up into my car. It was a rolling slow collision, thus the tail light survived and it just needs some love to get it undented. Rear Hatch needs new gas spring/lift supports to keep it open. Brake light won't disengage on cluster when emergency brake is not engaged. Car runs fine and e-brake is functional and not impeding mobility. I have heard this is a simple fix. Needs new tires and alignment. Needs new windshield: Took a rock on the freeway and it spread before I could Safelight it and get it repaired. Front Driverside Fender needs trim replaced/repaired.
