Up for sale is my AP1 Honda S2000, Model Year 2001, in Silverstone Metallic with black interior. A great example of a legendary vehicle.The car is entirely stock/OEM. It has the naturally aspirated 2.0 liter F20c engine, mated to one of the best 6 speed manual transmissions of all time. The F20C held the record for producing the highest specific power output for any mass production naturally aspirated piston engine for 10 years, only beaten out by the 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia. Honda's F20C Engine won a spot on Wards' 10 Best Engines List four times, in 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.This particular example has covered a mere 11,500 miles in its lifetime. This is extremely low mileage, at about 800/year (compared to the industry average of 12,000 to 15,000/year).It has a clean title and I am the second owner of the car; it has never been in any accidents. I purchased it from the original owner, an 87 year old man. The car was originally purchased in late 2000 at The Automaster Honda in Shelburne, Vermont. It has spent it's entire life in Vermont, but has never seen snow. It has always been stored in a garage during winter and only taken out after the salt is gone--the body and undercarriage of the car speak to this fact. While stored, the car was kept on a trickle charger and was started and run until up to temperature at least once a week or once every two weeks. Fluids were always checked and changed as needed. Engine: 10/10. 100% stock, starts and runs flawlessly.Exterior: 8.5/10. The exterior of the car is not perfect, but is in good shape. There are a few blemishes on the car. The front bumper has some scuffs. The rear bumper has a small dent in it, and should be replaced. There are a few small dings on the car, nothing major. The passenger side front fender has a small scratch on it.Interior: 9/10. The interior is in very good condition, but again, is not perfect. There are a few small problems with the interior, all minor. The car was never smoked in. Mechanical: 10/10. Everything else on the car works as it should; the clutch, brakes and tires are in very good condition. There are no warning lights, funny noises, smells, feelings, etc. Convertible Top: 7/10. While the vinyl part of the top is in good shape, and the "mechanicals" of it all function properly, the rear window of the '00 and '01 models were plastic and prone to problems--this particular rear window managed to crack and needs to be replaced; the window is currently patched and does not leak.The car is located in Colchester, Vermont. I would prefer a local pickup of the car, but I am open to shipping the car, I have a contact with a local vehicle shipping company that I can put you in direct contact with. I have many more pictures, and I'm glad to take any close up shots if you have questions about specifics. Overall this car is in great shape for being 15 years old, but it's not perfect. It could get there for another ~$1000 though. The car comes with 3 keys--2 full sets with remote and 1 valet key and the original window sticker.
