1967 Pontiac Firebird HO, PHS documented. A Rare 1 of 2888 manual shift HO cars for 1967 (Total production 82,560). The car is powered by a potent 285 HP / 359 ft-lbs of torque WK code 326 ci V8, backed by a M20 wide ratio Muncie 4 Speed manual transmission. Power is put to the ground by a factory Safe-T-Track (posi) rear with 3.36:1 gearing. Based on the abundant options, this car is a rare find! The 326 engine is often overshadowed by the bigger 400 ci, but make no mistake, the 326 is a long stroke Pontiac engine and packs a torquey punch when you get on it. This car has manual brakes and steering, but is highly optioned with deluxe interior, rally gauges, factory hood tachometer, dual exhaust, console, etc to mention a few. I have attached images of the PHS documents which will provide the pedigree for this car. I have checked all numbers on the car and is a true matching numbers vehicle. This car will be an investment that you can enjoy and have fun with for years to come and will only appreciate in value. Exterior Condition: Single stage Cameo White paint is driver quality. Presents very well and would not be out of place at the local car shows. There are a few rock chips and cracks in the paint, but not exposed metal or rust. This car was painted in early 2014. All glass is original except windshield - no chips, cracks, or scratches. Front bumper is original chrome, driver quality, but presents well. Rear bumper is a new reproduction. Rally II wheels have been repainted and look good, but not perfect. The underside of the car is solid, no rot or rust. Car was undercoated at one time, potentially from the factory. The trunk is solid with a few blemishes near the wheel wells. Doors, trunk, hood all open and close easily and gaps are nice on the car. Interior Condition: Dash pad in great survivor condition with a small hair line crack in the middle top of the pad (need to search for it). New rug installed, new vinyl seat upholstery (was told the back seat is original) Door panels original, show some aging, but very presentable and clean. New headliner, missing back window glass trim. Speedo and rally gauges work, factory hood tach not working. Console in great shape, but missing trim around shifter boot. All windows roll up and down smoothly with no binding. Running Gear Condition: Engine starts easily and runs smooth. Car has original factory points ignition. Engine is very clean, not consuming oil or blowing smoke. I recommend mixing a bit of 100 octane fuel with your fill ups based on the 10.5:1 high compression ratio this car has, but will run fine on 93 octane. 4 speed transmission is tight, shifts smoothly and does not pop out of gear. New subframe mounts, new gas tank, factory traction bars in place. Brakes are good and stop the car quickly and straight. See a video of this car on youtube by searching "1967 Pontiac Firebird 326 HO" under my videos "dnazz32". I am happy to share additional photos or discuss in further detail about the car's condition, please ask all questions prior to bidding.
