2000 Honda Insight Hybrid AIR CONDITIONING! Location : Washington DC I could deliver the car major points such as Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, Houston, TX or but you will have to fly me back to where I need to be. The previous owner was my mother whom purchased this car in 2007. She had all of her maintenance done at Duncan Hokie Honda in Christiansburg, VA from about 110,000 miles to 175,000 miles. She visited the dealer every 5,000 to 8,000 miles since her purchase. She also had the IMA Hybrid battery replaced.The vehicle was used to commute often on I-95 up to Washington DC. At around 174,000 miles the IMA battery triggered the warning light P1449, degraded battery & it would no longer pass Virginia inspection.She gave me the car for free. I obtained it Summer of 2014. I rebuilt the IMA hybrid battery pack, had each individual cell benched re-balanced, and replaced the cells that were not able to be balanced.Rebuilt battery re installed. Computer reset. No IMA light for the last 10,000 miles!Had a new 5 wire primary oxygen sensor installed and pass DC inspection with flying colors at about 176,000 miles Being dealer maintained since 110,000 miles all dealer recommended items were replaced, and all preventive maintenance performed per manufactured recommended intervals. During my last 10,000 miles, about 175,000 to 185,000 4 new tires installedPrimary NGK wideband oxygen sensor installed. Replaced and painted the driver side exterior pillar.Installed a Sony CD player with AUX and USB capabilities.Installed a Crime Stopper keyless entry unit.Drained and fill the transmission 2x with genuine Honda fluids.Replaced the engine oil 2x with 5w20 Mobil fluids. Tinted the windows when I was in TEXAS. Professionally had the AIR CONDITIONER Freon VAC and refilled (Leak tested) (Does not leak!) I have been running the car for the last 10,000 miles perfectly, no IMA problems. Since it is an older car there are a few things I need to mention. First the paint is not perfect in anyway but its still very nice, and nicer then most 2000 Honda Insights out there. The paint on the left pillar that runs next to the windshield is slightly a different shade because I had it replaced, the original one flew off on the highway because the windshield guy did not re install it correctly when the windshield was replaced. The driver side window regulator is getting weak, it still goes up and down fine but you need to help it go up. The rear hatch struts are weak, I just use a little stick to keep it up. Car can be inspected and test driven in Washington DC or can meet in Fairfax, VA.Deposit is required and non-refundable, so make sure you are 100% percent about buying with cash on hand. I'm selling the car because I am picking up a 2010 Toyota Prius. I know its not going to be as fun as the Insight but I need something that can carry a baby seat. If picking up in person, cash for remaining balance.License plate not included by DC law. Bank check can also be acceptedPickup vehicle within a reasonable amount of time , under 14 days.May 19th to May 24th I will be traveling, you can still pick up the car. My family will finalize it with you, I just won't be able to pick you up at the airport between 19th and 24th. Otherwise I can pick you up at Amtrak / Megabus Washington DC Union Station BWI airport, DCA airport, IAD airport. All pictures of the car were taken May 2nd 2015 in Texas. But I drove the car back to Washington DC on May 4th 2015. If you are driving in you can pick up the car in Washington DC or Chantilly, VA in the evenings. I'm still using the car everyday so mileage will vary slightly.
