This car has been a fantastic daily commuter (60 miles roundtrip daily) - New job does not require the driving and time to pass on the savings to someone else. Zero issues with the car and everything works exactly as it should. We have kept every record (down to each diesel fill up). Changed oil, filters, tires, etc on schedule every time. Current back tires are brand new and front tires have 80-85% tread left. A/C is ice cold and I rarely have it above the first notch in TEXAS heat. Consistently get 38 mpg combined city/hwy. Interior is a solid GOOD+. NO TEARS/RIPS ETC.. Exterior is a solid GOOD. Has dings and marks from being 10 years old, but still very nice. Please look thru all pictures. The only thing we have had to do in the 50,000 miles driven, is change the original alternator. Not too shabby! All work done by a VW TDI "guru" or specialist in the North Texas area. Again, this car has been a dream and I can tell you that the gentleman I bought it from was exactly the kind of older retired person you would want to buy a car from - I took the reigns and cared for the car like I would own it forever. Service / Maint. done in the last 50,000 miles : 170,000 mi : Timing belt & all pulleys / Water pump / Trans. oil / Brake Pads / Strut Mounts / Suspension Bushings / RE Ball Joint / Parking Brake Cable / Air Filter & Cabin Filter / Oil & Filter / Brake Fluid Flush / 4 New Tires / Sway Bar Bushings / Alignment / Temp Sensor Engine / Rear Hatch Latch Between 170,000mi and 220,000mi, we have changed all 4 tires again recently. / New Alternator / Routine Oil Change using T6 Rotella / Fuel Filter Change / Cabin Filter Change / Car has needed nothing but routine maintenance. These are extremely dependable cars and will make you happy for another 200,000 miles.
