Up for sale is a 2006 Honda Insight which I recently purchased in Portland, Oregon. Our family has owned a few Insights over the years and these cars have never let us down. I have been patiently waiting for a meticulously maintained, mint condition Insight to come up for sale and decided to go for this one. Up to this point, I have only driven manual transmission Insights but decided to try out an automatic. I drove this Insight back to Alaska from Oregon and have now driven it around town for a few weeks. After getting this much time behind the wheel, I really can't see myself driving an automatic for the next 10 years, as picky as that may sound. I miss the experience of driving a stick shift already. The automatic Insights also do not get nearly as good mileage as the manuals do. I average about 60 MPG in my manual but only 50 MPG in the automatic. 50 is still better than most hybrids, however.I researched the possibility of converting it to a 5-speed and found out that it would be very difficult to do on this type of vehicle. The ECM would have to be changed and additional holes would have to be drilled for the clutch pedal. The manual transmission is mounted in a slightly different place than the automatic, which would also be a challenge. But if an automatic is what you are looking for, and you are not particular about MPG, this may be the right car for you. I have the vehicles carfax report which shows the vehicle as being a one-owner since it was brand new in 2006. It was purchased new in Connecticut. The owner moved to Oregon less than a year later. The vehicle was maintained in Oregon from 2007 until February of 2015. The carfax shows all recommended services being performed at a Honda dealership in Portland.The IMA battery that is currently in this Insight is the ORIGINAL battery and has not been replaced. The IMA battery was fully inspected by Ron Tonkin Honda in Portland, Oregon on February 16th, 2015. Absolutely no issues were found. The battery performed very well on the trip to Alaska and charges and regenerates as normal. The only imperfections include minor rock chips in the hood and a few scuffs in the rear bumper (shown in one of the pictures). There is also some minor wear on the bottom cushion of the drivers seat.Everything works. There are no issues with any of the switches or electronic features of the car.The only thing it currently needs is front tires. I can have the tires replaced and can include that in the final sale price before you come to pick up the Insight. It's a unique vehicle to have in this area and does well in the winter with winter tires. If you are flying in from outside Alaska, I will bring the car to Anchorage International Airport and arrange my own transportation back home. I actually live about two hours from the airport.I am open to offers. I will be driving the vehicle on a daily basis while it is listed for sale (about 20 miles a day).

The pictures show the damage. Nothing is too major. The damage very minimal. The material on the driver visor had to be ripped when I got my I.D stuck in it. It is not visible unless the visor is pulled down. (I am willing to replace before sale if needed).- Dent on driver side fender. I got stuck in snow and decided to push the car using my butt, and it put a dent. Maybe you know a trick to get it out if it even bothers you.- Crack on bumper from ice during this past winter. It low almost under the car so its not really noticeable unless your looking for it. I am the second owner. I bought it from Alaska Sales and service in 2013. I have about a year left on my payments, this is why I am asking the price I am asking so that I can pay it off as well as pay for the title transfer to you. I would prefer a local buyer so that you can view the car if you'd like. But I am willing to ship it at your cost. I am moving back to my home state in a few months which is why I am trying to sell it. The day I receive payment will be the same day I can send you confirmation that the car is payed off and I have requested a title transfer to you.
