If you're here looking at this ad, then more than likely you already know what a GMC Typhoon is! This Aspen blue Typhoon is known as the "Lethal Weapon 3" Typhoon because it made an appearance in the movie back in the early 90's. The Typhoon features a 4.3 v-6 engine that is turbo charged and intercooled from the factory to produce around 300 hp in stock form! Mated with an all wheel drive system, these trucks were known as stoplight killers back in the day due to their neck snapping launches! Its getting harder and harder to find a clean, unmolested Typhoon now a days, so this is a perfect opportunity to own a piece of American muscle history! 1992 GMC Typhoon #0404 aka “Lethal Weapon 3 Typhoon” Aspen Blue/ gray cladding. 1 of 28 Typhoons made with this color combination. Aspen blue is one of, if not THE most desirable color combination that was ever made for the Typhoons. This particular Typhoon is rust free and still has its factory paint job which shines up nicely for 22 year old paint. Most Aspen blue Typhoons were repainted at some point in their life due to poor paint quality from the factory that year. It does have some flaws here and there but looks very nice overall. No dents or dings anywhere on the body. The original tailgate had some issues with the paint falling off along the top half of the gate, so another CLEAN rust free tailgate was acquired, painted to match, and installed. The original tailgate is included with the sale though. The cladding is all original and in good overall shape. There is one piece that is cracked, it is located behind the passenger door in front of the back tire. I do have the replacement part for it which is included with the sale but the color is a shade off so it was never installed. There is also a scuff on the front right corner of the front bumper from where I clipped a board pulling into my garage with it. Last year I had the undercarriage of the truck totally detailed. It is VERY clean and rust free underneath! The interior is very nice, and clean as well. The factory radio was replaced at some point in its life and a din and a half Pioneer CD player was installed which looks very factory and period correct. The seats have minimal wear and are free of rips or tears. The dash has a very small crack right in the middle (above the radio) about the size of a nickel. Other than that, no other issues with the interior. The truck currently has close to 79k miles, and it runs and drives perfect! There are no issues mechanically with the truck. It passes Ohio E-Check with zero problems. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it cross country if needed. The truck is about 95% stock as it came from the factory. The only “mods” done to the truck are the following: • 4 new Bilstein shocks on the front and rear. (removed rear air pump and shocks) • Brand new Silicone vacuum line kit from Sportmachines (removed dried cracked lines) • ATR 3” polished cat back exaust. (removed old rusted muffler/tailpipe) • Walbro 255 lph fuel pump which went into a brand new gas tank that was clear coated before being installed. • Rear sway bar installed with brand new Energy Suspension end links • Brand new Bosch High Flow IC Pump • Sportmachines Refinished stock wheels with brand new Falken tires • Recent tune up with AC-42 plugs /cap/ and rotor I purchased the truck in August of 2012 with 76xxx miles on it. Since then, I have put a lot of time into cleaning this truck up to the condition it is in now. I have only put roughly 2000 miles on it since ive purchased it. Clean car fax and clean clear title on hand. This Typhoon is known as the “Lethal Weapon 3” Typhoon as it appeared in the movie back in 1993. I have a copy of the contract signed between General Motors and Warner Bros for the use of this Typhoon in the upcoming film. The truck also is said to have appeared in the movie “Falling Down” and was later used by Clint Eastwood for a short period before being sold at the LA Truck Center. I also have the build sheets for the truck, as well as other historical information regarding the truck If you would like to contact me outside of ebay to ask any questions or inquire about shipping, you can reach me at [email protected]

You are looking at my 1993 Typhoon. It presently has 81,000 miles (Carfax documented – and I can send a copy if you would like), and is RUST FREE. It rides and drives as it should, interior is nice, and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. Biggest downfall……it no longer has the original turbo 4.3 setup, as it has a carbureted 350 in it. Previous owner purchased from a dealer that did some top end engine work, but two days later, that engine threw a rod. Pick up a syty 4.3 and put it back to original (still has the original harness in it), or do an LS swap. I was NOT the one that did the swap. It is still AWD, as it maintains the original syty trans, transfer case, propshaft and front differential. The AWD system works as it should. Vehicle has no squeaks or rattles, which is uncommon for these trucks. Body: paint appears to be original, slight minor rust that you can see behind the fender cladding, but appears to be where the cladding rubbed through. A few scratches to be expected over 20+ years, but nothing major. Cab mounts are in good shape. Right rear cladding is not presently on the truck, but is included and ready to go. No rust behind it. Missing the decals on the tailgate, but they are readily available, set of both doors and tailgate are not much more than $50. Engine/Transmission: Engine is from an 89 Blazer, carbureted. Runs good. I do not know the mileage it had on it, but runs fine and does not smoke. Transmission is the original syty trans, and there is a toggle switch to activate the lockup torque converter. Not the ideal case, but it works. Radiator is about a week old. Interior: Original leather seats are in nice shape, soft leather and no major damage. No rips or tears. Door panels are nice. Carpet is ok. Could probably use a steam clean to make them real nice, but not perfect. Has original “typhoon” logo on glove box, console lid is in nice shape (needs button), and shift indicator became unclipped and is beneath the console. I did not remove the console to reattach it. In short, this truck will run and drive anywhere. It looks nice, runs and drives nice, just doesn’t have the correct engine. I do not NEED to sell this, but will probably be a few years until I get the time to put the correct engine in it, and don’t want to see it just sit there. Please do not hesitate to email any questions. Vehicle is located just south of Cleveland Ohio, about 20 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE), and is available for inspection. Please, serious inquiries only. $500 non refundable deposit via paypal within 24 hours of auction. Balance to be paid prior to the vehicle leaving my house. I would be happy to coordinate with your shipper.
