My wife inherited this car from her father when he passed in 2010. It has sat in its present location since that time. It was fully operational when he died. I know absolutely nothing about cars. What I do know is that he was meticulous about automobile maintenance and changed his oil every 3000 miles. He as far as I know, did his own repairs as he had complete service manuals for this automobile. I have tried to take as many pictures as possible, but of course welcome all questions. Briefly, the vehicle has only minor surface rust considering its age and has zero deep rust that I can see. The only body damage I can see is a small dent in the rear next to the hatchback handle. The interior is a mixed bag. One of the seats has a split in the material. The dashboard is grossly deteriorated due to sun damage as is the steering wheel. The steering wheel is rather sticky and gooey, again due to sitting in the sun. All guages are sharp and clear. After charging the battery, several years ago, I did try to drive it. It did drive but there was a squeeky belt type noise coming from the engine. It looks as though the sparkplug wires, hoses, and belts are in excellent condition though, as if he had changed them shortly before his passing. I found a box of extra (new) belts and hoses in the back that I'll throw in. I will also include the service manuals. I have included a picture of the odometer reading. This confuses me. Not knowing about cars, I can't tell whether the reading is 359395 or 35939.5 I know that the car has to have over 35000 miles on it so am perplexed as to what this reading means. Though I certainly don't think so, could the engine have been rebuilt or replaced and if so, under what conditions would the odometer be reset? I have seen many 1972 gmc trucks but almost no suburbans of this vintage for sale. I think I have priced it fairly given the information I have been able to glean from the internet. Of course, should you think otherwise, you are welcome to submit your best offer. I prefer a local purchase and delivery but welcome all bids. It will be the buyers responsibility to arrange and pay for transport of this vehicle. Thanks for looking!
