2000 GMC Jimmy in REDFORD, MI looking for new home. I'm selling the truck for my mom whose no longer able to drive due to memory issues and physical limitations. I have no use for the truck. Here's what I have been informed of and know for sure. I've done a tune-up on it 4 yrs. ago. Replaced the rear diff seal and fluid. Oil is good but will need changing soon. A/C is cold and working. Has selectable 4WD which works. my mom has owned it for 4 yrs. and hasn't driven it for at least 1 of those years. Has good rubber. Has an exhaust leak. In my opinion it needs some suspension work, but may not bother anyone else. For a 15 Year old truck it's in very good shape rear bumper is mostly rusted but is replaceable. The bottle jack trim cover is only held on by a simple "eye" screw and hook, it was like this since before my mom bought the truck. It does not have a tow package but does have the "tow/haul" button in the center console. Some surface rust spots but merely cosmetic. The oil pan and front diff need new gaskets due to slow leaking. Great vehicle for a first time driver looking for an inexpensive auto.

My husband and I are moving out of town and need to downsize to only one vehicle. We are selling my Jimmy, still in great working condition and perfect for a new driver! This was my first car when I started driving and it has served me very well throughout undergrad and grad school. I purchased it from my uncle at the time who had taken very good care of it. Very roomy so perfect for moving items of various sizes (I have, in fact, used my car to move many people over the years). Just replaced all four tires and have had new brakes within the last year. Some minor dents, scratches and rust but those don't affect the ability to get from point A to point B safely. For new drivers, this is the perfect vehicle because as a truck it's big, slow and not pretty! I hope to find my Jimmy a new loving home. 2000 GMC Jimmy Diamond Edition. -I have owned this vehicle since 2002. We have not driven this vehicle for the past year because the Engine started to misfire. It was diagnosed as a fuel problem and i had the fuel pump replaced and it did not help the problem. The mechanic shop hooked it up to the computer and there was a misfire on cylinder number 5. They told me that it could be the fuel spider or the car computer. My son was driving the vehicle and purchased a new one and i no longer needed this vehicle and didnt want to spend money on the vehicle for repairs. -The original motor is in the vehicle and it has never been rebuilt. It has had the head gasket changed not too many miles ago. -The vehicle has recently had new tires and Shocks/Struts. New Fuel Pump, Radiator, New rebuilt Transmission/Transfer Case. Four wheel drive works good. Newer Battery. -It has automatic start and an alarm. -The vehicle was undercoated right after the original owner purchased the vehicle from the dealer. -The interior and body are in pretty good shape for the age of the vehicle. -The vehicle will have to be towed upon purchase because of the low brake pressure.
