These trucks are prized for their well built 6.6L LBZ Duramax with no diesel particulate filters, no diesel exhaust fluid and the ability to obtain 20mpg + with the factory 360 HP 650 Ft. Lbs. torque that is delivered through the 6 speed Allision transmission - this pairing is legendary for reasons that I'm not fully aware of, but I do know that this motor was only available for 1-2 years (2006-2007) and is supposed to have a much stronger build, or stronger parts used in the engine build, than the prior 6.6L's and even those after.
