1960 GMC %26frac12;-Ton Rat RodMotoeXotica is pleased to announce our latest addition, a 1960 GMC %26frac12; ton Navarro Racing Equipment shop truck. Based in Glendale, CA Navarro Engineering became one of the premier speed shops for classic American hot rods and lake bed racing. Mr. Navarro is known as one of the founding fathers of hot rodding, an engineer by trade but was highly successful in other fields such as medical equipment; he excelled in personally machining performance parts for flat head V8%26#8243;. He was a founding member of the Glendale Strokers car club, whose members included some of the most prominent lake bed racers and record holders in that era. The San Fernando Valley became the epicenter of hot rodding culture with local residents like Von Dutch collaborating to create some of the fastest and most stylish hot rods in the country. This legendary truck appears to be the one and only Navarro Shop Truck used from the 1960%26#8243; forward to pick up and deliver parts to and from the speed shop. We did speak with a descendent of Mr. Navarro who informed us, the truck was sold many years ago after his death. The company lives on today as H%26amp;H Flatheads, while we do not have any documentation as such we can tell you this is one bitch%26#8238; truck that gets more looks than a fully restored one! The wooden bed is in great condition, with no rot or damage visible. The body panels are solid with minor surface rust found on upon closer inspection. There are several dings and dents to be found, however they only add to the character of this trusty steed. This truck is intended to allude to the 1960 GMC %26frac12;-Ton truck Barney Navarro was given by General Motors to help develop their newest 305ci V6; as seen in his Motor Life review.Interior:White vinyl bench seat with red stitchingOriginal gaugesOil pressure, water temperature, and amp meter gauges addedOriginal working AM radioOriginal Steering wheelExterior:Original 15%26#8221; steel wheelsU Royal 8.20-15 whitewall tiresNewer wooden bed with steel carriage boltsCustom speed shop logo paint job with patinaMechanical:305ci V6Single-barrel Holly carburetor3-speed column shifted manual transmissionIndependent front suspension4 wheel drum brakesDrop-center ladder frameThis GMC 1/2-ton truck drives very well, the drivetrain is well sorted out. 1968 GMC Suburban- The Amityville HorrorVIN: CE10KZ814020Same Suburban used in the 2005 remake of \"The Amityville Horror\"47,000 original miles as stated on the clear California title396-CID V8 engineTurbo-Hydramatic four-speed automatic transmissionRuns and drives greatFictitious construction decals placed on doors for movieMotoeXotica Classic Cars presents the 1968 GMC Suburban used in the 2005 remake of \"The Amityville Horror.\" This automobile has found its way into our showroom, and even though it\'s from a horror movie, it runs beautifully and would make a great addition to any movie buff\'s collection or car collector\'s bounty. The second generation of C/K (seventh overall) Suburbans are recognized by their having only a single driver\'s side door and two passenger-side doors. For the first time in the Suburban\'s lifespan, a three-quarter ton version was available. This series would also be the last to offer C-10 and C-20 panel truck models for commercial purposes, the last year being 1970.This is the same Suburban used by Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George in the remake of the horror movie \"The Amityville Horror\" released in 2005. The fictitious Lutz Construction Company decals still adorn this vehicle, though they are a bit worn. The exterior is Cordovan Maroon Poly and will be recognized by anyone who has seen the movie. We will note that aging of paint was applied to make this movie prop appear more weathered, and the fuel gauge is currently inoperable.Under the hood, this Suburban has some power. A 396-CID V8 engine helps this SUV accomplish its tasks. The engine is mated with a four-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. This SUV runs great and still drives well. For anyone needing an original Chevy big block, this motor is the Holy Grail itself. The motor could easily fetch $6,000 to $8,000. Simply replace with a 350, and off you go.This SUV is perfect for a movie connoisseur looking to add a fantastic piece to their collection. This Suburban has 47,000 original miles, and VIN is CE10KZ814020. It is being sold on a clear California title. GET OUT AND DRIVE! Ad provided by OldCarOnline.com/cond>
