Before I start. Bidders with zero feedback please contact me in advance. If you do not not I will cancel your bid. I have been burned too many times. no exceptions.Selling this car is being done with reluctance. I won't bore you with the details. My wife wanted to give me a birthday gift and have restoration done on this 1972 Ford Torino. Why spend money on restoring a base 4 door 6CYL Torino you ask? Because it was identical to the one my Dad gave me when I was 17. I found this Torino it in PA years ago with only 16K miles on it. I am the 2nd owner of the car and always enjoyed driving it. Anyway the guy who we gave the car to for work ended up being incompetent. He had it for a year and all he did was dissembled it and started working on it. He cut out the floor pans and some sanding. That was itAfter a year and numerous lies I repossessed the car and got my $ back. I put the car in storage and a year later here we are. Our 17-year-old will be going to college and we are moving soon. If I had time I could sell the parts separately and make a lot more money. The bottom line is I don't have the time to do that. Its complete EXCEPT the rear bumper which is being sold separately. The car is currently at a storage unit in Dahlonega, Georgia. The main body is covered under a shed. The remaining parts are in a storage unit. The car is Automatic, with Power Steering. The car had 60,000 original miles on it when it went into the idiot’s shop who ruined my car. I have receipts on work done on the car since I have had it (12 Years). Receipts provided of course

Fortunately, this one does exist and looks great with its trademark "laser stripe" down its flanks, and with a strong-running 351 cubic inch V8 under the hood, it's got enough power to match its racy look. The Torino can probably be considered Ford's answer to the Chevelle, but sadly it was a distant second in the popularity contest vs. Chevy's erstwhile A-body. However, if more people had seen a car like this Torino GT convertible, perhaps the numbers would have changed. Ford didn't advertise it very much, giving it one lonely photo in their 1971 brochure where it was easy to overlook. This one is finished in handsome code V Light Pewter Metallic, which is the car's original color and looks pretty classy on the big ragtop. It was repainted a few years ago and the paint is holding up quite well, with a great shine and panel alignment that suggests this was always a clean, straight car. There are plenty of performance styling cues, most notably the hood scoop and the aforementioned laser stripe along its flanks, and the hidden headlights work rather well on the redesigned Torino, although these are a little finicky. The 1970 redesign also added a full-width taillight, a design element that would sweep through the entire FoMoCo lineup in the early '70s, but scarcely does it look better than on the Torino. The handsome white interior offers cloth inserts on the seats that add an upscale look and plenty of comfort to the big ragtop. Black carpets work with a dark dash to keep it from being too bright inside, and the arrow-style design on the door panels mirrors the overall look of the car's profile. The big, wide instrument panel puts all the controls right in front of the driver, including the factory A/C, which remains fully functional today. The carpets are in excellent condition, and while the seats show some light wear, they remain comfortable enough for all-day cruises. The original AM radio still lives in the center of the dash, and the lack of a console makes it feel positively huge inside. And speaking of huge, the trunk is quite spacious and uses a typical Ford plaid mat and includes a full jack assembly as well. Overhead, there's a black power convertible top with glass rear window and a new white boot. Power comes from a 351 cubic inch V8 with a 2-barrel carburetor, a specification necessitated by the era but still able to deliver torquey performance that's a lot of fun. The engine bay is quite stock, with Ford Blue in all the right places, a stock air cleaner, and that big A/C compressor which has been converted to R134a refrigerant. It starts almost instantly and idles so smoothly that you'd swear it's a Lincoln, not a Ford, and all that torque makes it feel lively on the street. The 3-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly and there are 3.00 gears in back to make it a fantastic highway cruiser that just eats up pavement. There's a fresh Flowmaster exhaust system underneath that just sounds awesome and the underside is pretty original yet in very good condition overall. The low-key look is enhanced by the plain-Jane hubcaps and sporty 225/70/15 white-letter radials. Documented as one of four by the Marti Report, this is a rare Ford convertible that delivers V8 power and a great look that will have onlookers asking you questions every time you stop. You are looking at a VERY RARE VERY ORIGINAL and VERY COMPLETE Factory N-code 429-4V 1970 Ford Torino GT Sportsroof optioned with a C-6 Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes and Factory Air Conditioning!! This car while needing a full restoration, is an extremely worthy candidate with it's super desirable option list and it's stunning original color combination!! This is an ORIGINAL 1970 Torino GT that has spent most of it's early life out in West Texas cruising the streets of El Paso as a very cool and stylish Big Inch Muscle Cruiser! This car was a driver for many years in the Southwest Texas area before heading east. Once it's days as a West Texas Cruiser were over; the Torino made it's way to South Florida and ended up being parked as a someday project and forgotten about while waiting for the next Torino enthusiast to come along and restore this car to its former glory!! This car was a Stock order at Casa Ford in El Paso Texas and ordered in the stunning B-code Dark Maroon Hue (also called Royal Maroon in 1969) with an eye catching White Knitted Vinyl Bench Seat Interior. This GT was further ordered with the very strong optional 429-4V 360hp Thunder Jet engine, C-6 Automatic Transmission, and a 9 inch 3.00 rear end!!! This '70 Torino GT Sportsroof was well equipped and per the Deluxe Marti Report originally ordered as follows: 429-4V 360HP Thunder Jet V-8 Engine C-6 Automatic Transmission3.00 9 inch Conventional RearDark Maroon Exterior PaintWhite Knitted Vinyl Bench Seat with Black AppointmentsG78-14 Belted WSW TiresVisibility GroupPower SteeringPower Disc BrakesAir ConditioningAM RadioDeluxe Belts/Warning LightDual Rear Seat SpeakersTinted GlassDeluxe Wheel covers This Torino GT was ordered to stand out in the crowd with a VERY RARE (1 of 37 per the Marti Report) and Eye Catching Dark Maroon exterior with a Super Cool White Bench Seat interior that just had to have made this car absolutely POP when new!! The N-code 429 Thunder Jet 4 barrel engine is original to the car and has been sitting a very long time. I have not attempted to get it running, but it is all there and original. It is pretty much all stock with its original D0VE heads and its original 4V Intake, Carburetor, Air Cleaner with Snorkel and Exhaust Manifolds with the original heat shield still on it. The C-6 Transmission is intact and does not appear to have ever been out of the car. The bullet proof 3.00 geared 9 inch brings up the rear and also is original to the car. The car looks to have had one repaint over the original Dark Maroon paint and appears to have been just your typical respray from back in the day. It is sun faded now, but some of the original Dark Maroon paint is peaking through in spots. The Body on the Torino while not perfect is actually fairly solid. The Fenders, Doors, Trunk Lid and 1/4's are all pretty decent on the car. However the hood will need to be replaced. The Frame Rails, Rockers, etc. are all ROCK solid on this car. There is some rust in the battery apron from a leaking battery. There are some pinholes in the 1/4 panels, but nothing too bad. The trunk drop on the drivers side is very good and the passenger side needs a little work. There is some rust in the trunk area; but nothing too bad. I have some nice rust free pieces from a donor car to repair this with. The Floor pans also have some rusted areas, but they are not terrible; they will need some sectioning, but not full replacement. While certainly not perfect; nor a rust free car by any means; the rust repair that does need to be done is cosmetic and not structural unlike so many of the projects you find from the North East and Rust Belt States. The many years this car spent in DRY West Texas helped to preserve the bones on this car so it could live to fight another day. The White Bench Seat Interior is all there and while not perfect the interior has all good serviceable/restorable pieces. The Seats, Steering Wheel, Door Panels, etc are good solid pieces to work with. The original AM radio is there although not connected. The dash is original and uncut. The AC components are all there, intact and still sealed however the belt has been removed. Please be realistic in your expectations of this car as a 45+ year old project car needing complete restoration to include rust repair, mechanical work, and cosmetic reconditioning. Overall this is a very complete and original Big Block Torino GT with its original born with drivetrain that is a solid restoration candidate. There are lots of picked over rusted out carcasses out there; but complete car such as this that are not rusted to death and missing a bunch of pieces do not come along very often. Especially one's with an option list like this one has!! If you have been looking for a Big Block Torino GT to restore then don't hesitate on this one; as is it may be sometime before another suitable restoration candidate such as this comes along again! Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!! I want you to be sure of what you are bidding on and for us both to be satisfied with the Torino GT described condition and its sale. I expect a deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and balance of payment within 7 days of auction end. This 1970 Ford Torino GT is a 45+ year old project car and as such is being auctioned 'as-is where-is' and 'as-described' with no warranties either expressed or implied. I have described this 1970 Torino GT project car accurately so please read the auction text and look at the pictures carefully to make sure this is what you want before bidding. If you are not sure please do not bid. I take my auctions seriously and so should you. Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!! This is a genuine S-code 390/4-speed car that looks ready for combat on the streets, but may also be right at home on the show field. The Torino was the top-of-the-line Fairlane in 1968, and the longer, lower, wider bodywork emphasized the new-found appreciation for aerodynamics on the NASCAR ovals. Those cars were the familiar fastback, but this formal-looking hardtop offers a more formal roofline and a compelling hi-po look. The paint and bodywork were restored not too long ago, and the fellow doing the work was doing it because he intended to keep this car forever, so you know he went the extra mile. Fit and finish are quite good, and the code B Royal Maroon is a deceptive one for the potent muscle car. All the chrome is brightly restored, and the unique Torino grille looks like an immaculately preserved original piece. A hood scoop suggests that this car means business and it has correct white stripes and GT emblems on the rocker panels, which was Ford's way of advertising big firepower under the hood. Make no mistake, the Torino is a full-sized car with room inside for six, thanks to front and rear bench seats. And while a bench seat may seem anachronistic in a muscle car, the no-nonsense look works here the same way it does in, say, the Plymouth Super Bird and Daytona. All the upholstery is new, including the dash pad, carpets, and headliner, and the small-diameter wood wheel not only warms things up, but sharpens up steering response. Gauges are housed in individual round pods that look racy, and they all show well with bright faces and clear lenses. This one was built for one thing and one thing alone, since it's light on options save for a quick-shifting 4-speed manual transmission and power steering and brakes, which are a good idea in a full-sized car with this much power. Yes, there's an AM radio, but that's original and ensures there's not a hole in the dash. There's plenty of room in the trunk, which features a correct mat, full-sized spare tire, and jack assembly. The top engine in the Torino was the S-code 390, which came with a 4-barrel carburetor and grunted out a very impressive 325 horsepower. And while it's impossible to determine matching numbers in the traditional sense with a Ford, this one definitely has the right period look. It has been recently rebuilt to stock specs, and with that gorgeous coat of Ford Blue paint, looks showroom new, if not better. A finned air cleaner assembly with matching aluminum valve covers, and proper ancillary components suggest that someone really cared about the '60s performance look and didn't just grab the first shiny parts he saw in the catalog. It's a very strong runner, pulling the big hardtop around with ease, particularly with the 4-speed manual gearbox and 3.91 gears out back. Underneath, it's quite solid and original-looking, although the Flowmaster exhaust system is new. Handsome polished Torque Thrust wheels are a period perfect choice, now wearing decidedly modern 245/45/17 performance radials that give it a brutal look. If you're a Ford lover and want something a little out of the ordinary that isn't a Mustang, perhaps a Torino GT is what you're seeking. You are looking at a 1970 Ford Torino Brougham project car. It is an all original car that was a driver but has been sitting for several years now. This is a very original car that is a well optioned and very solid project. This an ORIGINAL 1970 Ford Torino Brougham that is a solid southern car. This Torino Brougham was originally equipped as follows: 351C-2V V-8 Engine FMX Automatic Transmission3.00 9 inch Conventional RearMedium Ivy Green Exterior PaintDark Ivy Green Bench Seat InteriorHideaway HeadlightsPower SteeringPower Disc BrakesAir ConditioningAM Radio Once it's days as a daily driver were over due to a bad fuel tank it was set out under carport to languish for many years. The body is pretty much complete as shown, and is actually a very solid car. All of the sheetmetal on the car to include the Hood, Fenders, Doors, 1/4's and deck lid are in very good shape. There is some very minor floor rust and a small amount in the roof from it having a vinyl top originally. All of the structure to include frame rails, rockers, etc are rock solid on this car. The car while certainly not perfect is a solid and straight platform from which to start with. The interior is all there and are all good serviceable pieces. Seats, door panels, etc are good solid pieces to work with. The 351C runs good and I have moved th car around the yard using a 1 gallon auxiliary fuel tank since the original tank has gone bad. The trans moves the car forward and back. The brakes still have some pedal but nothing I would want to trust in traffic. I initially bought this car to use as a parts car for several other project cars that I have in the mix; but when I got it home and had a chance to look the car over good and play with it I decided it is just too solid and too ORIGINAL a car to part out. So I figured I would offer the car up here for a Torino Enthusiast who is looking for a solid project to work on that is not a total nightmare that can be bought for a reasonable buy in cost. If you look at what the value in parts that this car has; (just the Hideaway Headlights alone are major $$$$) it really makes this car a bargain for the price of admission! It also has 17 inch Mustang 5 Spoke Aluminum wheels that have been added to the car and can be sold off if a more original look is desired. This Torino Brougham is a lot of car for the money and will make some lucky Torino aficionado a great winter project!! Please look at the pictures and ask any questions BEFORE you bid!! I want you to be sure of what you are bidding on and for us both to be satisfied with the Torino Brougham described condition and its sale. I expect a deposit within 24 hours of auctions end and balance of payment within 7 days of auction end. This 1970 Ford Torino Brougham is a 44+ year old project car and as such is being auctioned 'as-is where-is' and 'as-described' with no warranties either expressed or implied. I have described this 1970 Torino Brougham project car accurately so please read the auction text and look at the pictures carefully to make sure this is what you want before bidding.
