Original - Code Correct - Thunderbird Coupe 2-door Hardtop. Very Clean. No Rust. No bondo. No collisions, Runs smooth and strong. No smoke - Does not burn oil. Clean title - No negative VIN - Title / Registration report entries. Current VIN - Title / Registration Report is available. Email me for a link to see it. Auto Check (EBay's Vehicle History Report provider) will not supply reports on vehicles manufactured prior to 1981, and they will not allow me to provide a link to a vehicle history report for this vehicle here. The report confirms what I've stated here. This vehicle has never been in a collision or had any other negative VIN entries placed against it. I had the original transmission professionally rebuilt 3,000 miles ago. Trans works perfectly and I fixed the gear shift linkage / sag issue, which is common to these classic Fords. The Original 390 FE, 4V, runs strong, smooth, and quiet like it should. No smoke and does not burn oil. I have replaced a number of the old gaskets, and seals to stop leaks, etc.. Everything under the hood is original or replaced with code correct Ford parts. In November 2016 the Brake Vacuum Booster failed. The Braking system was then rebuilt, including a complete system flush, new Master Cylinder and Brake Vacuum Booster, etc... The emergency brake vacuum release also works as designed. New tires and new rear shocks were added in December 2016.. The Original Power steering pump was professionally rebuilt and reinstalled this past January (2017) because of leaking pump seals. The P/S pump lines were replaced as well because we were there and easier to do at the same time. The Original radiator has been replaced with a new high flow aluminum radiator. The original expansion tank is in place and does not leak. I also installed a new water pump, thermostat and radiator hoses. There are no cooling system leaks and she runs at normal temps in City and on Hwy. All exterior and interior lights, as well as all gauges, speedometer, vents, heat / defrost / fan controls, rear vent, and dash clock (sometimes), work. The original radio is in place and works. The primary sound system is a Kenwood Bluetooth / Aux / etc./ remote controlled stereo, which is installed under the drivers seat. It has a great sound. All windows in the car work smoothly, except passenger side wing window. It won't open. The trunk is clean. Has code correct spare tire and the original jack / lug wrench from 1966 is still mounted in the trunk. The interior is very nice. The door panels and front seats show normal wear for a 51 year old automobile. Drivers side door panel has a small tear at the arm rest, which is covered with red plastic tape (see photos). There is a very slight indentation on the exterior passenger door. The indention is slight and hard to see. I tried to photograph it - see right side passenger door photos - center door, below the center body line. The rear taillight housing gaskets leaked this past winter while being driven back to TX. from KY; Therefore, this past January (2017) the old gaskets were replaced with NOS Ford gaskets, the drivers side lens was replaced (due to a crack) and all 11 (9 taillight/turn and 2 reverse light) bulbs were replaced. They all work. WHAT IT NEEDS: Dash clock works but stops after a minute or so. The clock needs to be removed / cleaned / reinstalled. Front seats could use new foam and minor TLC. Rear seat is solid and like new. The heater core was bypassed by the previous owner. I assume it leaks - I never checked to confirm. The remainder of the heat system controls (front and rear vents, fan, defrost, heat/cold, etc..) all work normally. The sequential turn signals work but are temperamental. They blink, but not always sequentially. Hood signal indicators work as designed as do the lower cowl lights. Still has original electro-mechanical switch, which works; however, the contacts need to be serviced / cleaned, or the original unit replaced with a new electronic control unit. The original electro-mechanical switches are no longer available. Original switch is serviceable / repairable if you want to keep the car "all original." The radio antenna cable is not connected. With the Kenwood Bluetooth / Aux etc...access stereo in place it did not seem necessary. Stereo has great sound. The original radio is also connected to the speaker system. I bought this classic T-Bird, from the prior owner out of Nevada, as a graduation gift for my son. You will see the prior Nevada registration in the VIN History Report. I did, or had done, all the work necessary to make this classic a safe and reliable daily driver for him and it has proven to be a great reliable / dependable vehicle. He has since joined the Army and needs a more economical vehicle. In addition, he has no garage available to him,and we do not want the T-Bird sitting unprotected while he is deployed; Therefore, we are selling it - hence the last long trip she made back to Texas from Fort Campbell, Kentucky this past Christmas when he came home on leave. She's a reliable daily driver or she could be a classic show car. She has a fresh tune up and oil change. This T-Bird is structurally and mechanically sound! Please have a look at the pictures give me a call at 256-996-7696 I just took this car in on trade so I am selling it very reasonable this is a restored 59 Thunderbird with a great body I have not found any rust on it it is solid underneath someone has spent a lot of money restoring this car there is no body damage it has disc brakes on the front a nice set of wheels and tires the motor has definitely been rebuilt and a lot of extra stuff added I don't know the specs but I believe it is the original motor and transmission it does have an aluminum radiator on aluminum high rise intake with a 4-barrel carburetor and a very nice exhaust system on the car the person traded it to me said they spent over $15,000 in the restoration alone the car show is 92000 Miles it will be sold with a bill of sale only I am an Alabama dealer and will give bill of sale with the car the car runs and drives fine the only flaw is that I know of there is a run in the paint on the passenger side quarter panel the driver's side door window has a crack in it and there is a small noise in the engine at idle sounds like a push rod there is a pair of new pushrods in the glove box I can help arrange shipping or you can fly into the Chattanooga airport I am 30 minutes south of there

This is a 1967 Ford Thunderbird. I bought it from a shop that was restoring it, but went out of business. The engine is the 7.0 liter, big block 428. Most of these came with 390's, so the 428 is pretty rare. The engine was freshly rebuilt when I bought it, and has done less thin 500 miles since. It warms up very nicely and runs strong. The car recently had the suspension gone through and restored. At this time I also added front and rear anti-sway bars. The clock is a new old stock piece and works, but has been disconnected. It has supplementary gauges for oil, temperature and battery. New fuel gauge sending unit, custom auto sound radio with remote control and new speakers (in original spots). Car had just finished a full repaint when I bought it. Paint is Wimbledon white with a black painted top. Black stripes are on top of the clear coat, so it should be easily removable. Tires are brand new, new battery, remote control for door locks. Electric windows and seat work well, trunk is clean with spare tire and jack. Headlight doors work, and the electrical system has been recently gone through, including all new dash bulbs and rear sequential tail lights have been sorted out. Air conditioner and heater blow, but A/C does not get cold. Everything seems to work (and the compressor was replaced just before I bought it), so probably just needs a charge. Chrome and trim are all good as well. Even the swing away steering wheel and idiot lights work. Steering box was rebuilt when suspension was gone through recently. Fuel lines and vacuum lines are new and car has been recently tuned. The car has a clean California title, currently PNO. Dash has a single crack, and has been covered with a vinyl cover. Steering wheel is wrapped and the car has brand new custom floor mats. Carpet kit is new, as is the foam in the drivers power seat. Door panels are in good shape, although the carpet on the bottoms needs trimming. No problems, clunking or banging, although the rubber on the motor mounts is cracking. Has day-night rear view mirror and remote driver side mirror. Interior is very nice black, with a small (less than a dime) poke hole in the headliner. So much has been done on it, it is hard for me to keep track. I have receipts for the work that has been done since I bought it. I will be including pictures in the next few days, but I am not a great photographer. I am happy to talk about the car to your heart's content, and will even consider a trade (maybe). HISTORY : Built and delivered in November 1962. Original California car since new. Original yellow-on-black California license plates. Car was a daily driver from new until 1977. It was placed in storage from 1977 until early 1991, when the original owner made it road-worthy again. I purchased the car in running condition from the original owner in Hawthorne, California in September 1991. Rebuilt components include Engine, Transmission, Driveshaft, front and rear Suspensions. Speedometer, Clock (Quartz-converted). Replaced items include all engine electrical components, Rear Leaf Springs, front and rear seat upholstery, headliner, carpet, interior door panels, trunk liner, underhood insulation. Used as a weekend pleasure car and in local shows/events since 1991. Driven to and participated in Car Week displays and events at Monterey, CA in August of 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007. Pacific Grove Auto Rally veteran, Palos Verdes Concours Rally Veteran. FEATURES : Rare original color combination (Rose Beige Exterior and Interior), (5) period-correct OEM BF Goodrich "Silvertown" 8x14 tires by Coker Tire, Original wheel covers, Swing-away Steering Wheel, original working AM Radio with Civil Defense Information channel indicators. This '62 bird is chopped and dropped. I bought her in 2007 pretty close to completed. It comes with a unique color matched roadster cover that is upholstered to fit and make this car look like the Batmobile! The 390 was rebuilt and a Carter 850 carb and flamethrower coil added. Runs super fast and drives like a dream. The choke does stick a bit, and she runs a bit lean, needs a true carb guy to adjust properly. The exterior purple paint is consistent through the interior dash and panels. AWC 5 spoke wheels in great condition and new and tires all around. The front end is unique with a custom tube grill and an '83 Caddy clip with square headlights giving this car a true one-off look. Darn shop cat got after the custom leather interior as a scratching post in some areas, but could be fixed. added some stereo and a fun mirror.
