1940 FORD CONVERTIBLE STREET ROD Vintage Autohaus & Imports is proud to present this 1940 Ford Convertible. This car is an all steel body car that has been completely taken apart and built to the highest street rod standards. The engine is a GM Performance LT-4 backed by a 700R4 Transmission perfectly fitted to the car. The rear end is a Ford 9” that has been built for driving. The car is equipped with Rack & Pinion power steering, Willwood 4 Wheel Power Disc brakes, Vintage heat and air, Flaming River Tilt column, and VDO gauge package. The air is cold and all gauges are in working order. The car has all modern equipment such as power seats, power window, and a custom audio system that includes Bluetooth, Aux and Video, Navigation, and Phone capabilities. The 15” TV is mounted in the finished out trunk area. The trunk lid has a power lift motor to open with the touch of a button. The paint is deep in bright red and the steel body is very solid. The wheels are custom made by Foose and ride with 215/45R18 tires in the front and 255/40R20 tires in the rear. The interior is custom leather specifically made for this car with a center mounted console to match. The top frame was removed and completely redone and a new Hartz cloth top installed with a custom boot to match. The suspension is something special with coil over adjustables in the front and rear. Tubular upper and lower control arms in the front and linked in the rear all finished in polished chrome. The custom dual exhaust has headers to pipe to polished mufflers. The underside of the car shows as the top with nothing undone. The electrical system is a complete Painless harness with remote located battery in the rear and battery cut off added. This is a very nice 40 Ford built to win at any show and fun to drive anywhere. Just add up the components. We invite independent inspections and look at trades. This is an all steel, rust free, drive anywhere 1933 Ford cabriolet. The vehicle is 95% steel with the two back fenders being perfectly finished glass. The car is far from original but has kept it's original sporty appearance by using all of the original chrome and the use of Zenith chrome spoke wheels. It also has a spare tire kit on the back which is also a Zenith spoke wheel with a metal cover made to fit perfectly around the chrome wheel. The engine is chromed out with a 4 barrel Eddlebrock chrome carburetor, an Eddlebrock polished raised intake manifold, aluminum radiator with cooling fan, original look floor shifter, automatic transmission, corvette rear end and twin exhaust. The car was painted "Inferno red" 2 years ago and has not one scratch. The car is kept in climate controlled room and covered. The tires are as new.
