It is time to thin my herd and I proudly offer to the right deserving owner, my classic '50s style deuce roadster. She is all original rust free Henry steel and has been a hot rod since the fifties. This car was owned by "HOT ROD ILLUSTRATED" editor, Dale Krutz in the '50s as a high boy. Bought by Steve Calavetta in 1995, she was restored to the full-fendered beauty you see here. This car was featured in a full color, 3 page feature story in the April, 1997 issue of ROD & CUSTOM written by the legendary Gray Baskerville, where she was compared to both the Murph Tiffany and the Neal East August 1961 cover cars. Power is supplied by a 1964 327 punched out to 343 C.I. that was freshened by Art Chrisman in 1994. A Turbo 350 shifts her smoothly to the 9" rear end. The rear suspension is parallel leafs and coil overs. Up front sits a 4''dropped Super Bell I beam on a Posie's slider cross spring with a Pete and Jake's 4 bar set up. Chevy front disc's help the halt and steering is '66 Mustang. The color is '40 Ford Manderian Maroon with a tad of Magenta mixed by none other than Stan Betz! The paint was applied by Bill Monteleone in 1996 and the quarter stripe was brushed by Tom "Li'l Greek" Otis. That lacquer hasn't a check but it is wearing thin in a couple spots. Nobody seems to care! The tan rolled 'hyde and burgundy carpet was stiched by Jesse Radillo Sr and fits the car perfectly. The door and trunk handles are shaved but the grill is stock and not filled. Her stance is proper with red 16" steelies and big and little wide whites. That quarter stripe just sets it all off! Everyone gives you the thumbs up in this rod! The motor just purrs and the color pop's be it sunny or cloudy! Have you always wanted to own a classic '50s style roadster? 'Gonna keep her a long time? Want to drive your 401k? $85,000. is what I am asking for her. I will negotiate for the right buyer. Ask for Bobby
