1974 Flare Yellow Ford Courier pickup truck built by Kogyo Co. Ltd. of Japan for Ford Motor Company. Being re-listed due to non paying buyer(s), both which have been blocked from further "participation" in any subsequent Ebay listings I may offer. Seven day listing. 1.8 liter, 4-cylinder, four speed manual transmission. Engine number: VBT33153 (original matching numbers). VIN number: SGTAPT20852. This is an un-restored, rust free, garage kept since new, show quality mini pickup with entirely factory original paint throughout. SEEING IS BELIEVING on this truck, and inspections are welcome by appointment. Truck is located in the Los Angeles area. Drives as new. No squeaks, no rattles. Quiet. Recent photo documented scheduled maintenance performed throughout (using N.O.S.-New Old Stock) Ford Motorcraft parts in original packaging, and truck is in need of nothing. Summary of maintenance includes professionally rebuilt cylinder head (guides, seals, springs, valves, etc.), new water pump, clutch , pressure plate, throw-out bearing, NOS radiator, new wheel cylinders, shoes, front suspension components, etc, etc. Collector owned. Clear California title in my name and truck is exempt from California Smog regulations due to year of manufacture. I am the third owner. Even the tailgate original cloth chain boots, factory original Japanese Koito headlamps, snap in rubber flooring surfaces, wiper motor translucent moisture shield, etc. remain intact along with the factory 12 piece tool kit stored in the original lace up bag with screwdriver kit in the snapped plastic pouch. Original jack and hardware are properly stored behind the bench seat covered in a protective/ removable tight fitting fabric. Dash has no cracks and shows zero evidence of age. A testament to garage kept avoidance of UV exposure. Truck still has the new car smell. Driven less than 1,000 miles in the past ten years and obsessively cared for and garage kept since new. A custom, easily removable for cleaning, heavy rubber 3/8" floor mat (approximately 70 lbs. and not shown in photos) has been fitted to the bed area to avoid additional superficial scuff marks, a few which do exist, and the truck had a camper shell installed new, which aided in preservation of the bed surfaces. Ford successfully presented the Courier Mini pickup to compete with Toyota, Chevrolet Luv, Datsun and the Mazda B-series 1800 during the mid 1970’s fuel crisis. These small trucks are known for their mechanical durability. Certainly you may find a similar example for far less money, but I will say it again, seeing is believing on the original un-restored condition of this particular truck. Total length (172”), width (63”), height (61.6”) Truck was recently displayed in Long Beach California at the annual JDM Queen Mary (JCCS) all Japanese car show. In a healthy lineup of Datsun, Toyota and Chevrolet mini pickups, this was the only Mazda built Ford present. Various positive discussions on this truck, at that event, can be viewed by search. International bidders are most welcome. Questions relevant to the truck will be answered promptly. Transport, if so desired, remains the responsibility of the buyer.
