1929 Ford Roadster Pick-up Professionally Built Featured on the Cover of “Car Culture Delux”This Month! “This month’s feature car on Car Culture Delux and its just about as cool as cool can get”. The truck is era specific and has all been professionally built. Wow, here is another perfect example of a hot commodity in the market place right now. This 1929 Ford roadster pick up is fully restored inside and out, with every part rebuilt, replaced, or upgraded, you can drive this classic anywhere in style and comfort. This pick up started as a stock 1929 Ford Model A Roadster Pick Up and then the fun began. The 4 banger Model A engine built by H&H Antique Ford Engine Rebuilding in La Crescenta, was built to "Touring Specifications", and this is as close to Pre War traditional as you can get. Stock Model A top loader transmission re-built with synchronized 2nd and 3rd gears, new clutch disc w/sure grip lining. The stock frame was powder coated and the stock Model A rear spring with Reversed Eyes was de-arched by Deaver's Spring, Santa Ana. A Brookville shortened bed was added, the seat was modified and covered with MBZ canvas as was the custom tonneau cover top. The black finish with red accents sets this beauty off to perfection and is reminiscent of the early hot rod style. Cooling was important and includes new stock type, "Leakless" water pump, and the stock Model A radiator was cleaned and pressure tested. For exhaust the owner went with 1-5/8 inch flathead tube header, jet coated silver, with new 1-5/8 inch exhaust pipes with single Smitty muffler. The rear end remains stock using Model A housing and tubes, powder coated, all new bearings, with ring and pinion gears set up to 3:54. When building a hot rod, braking is always a concern, so the owner chose early juice 40-48 Ford backing plates and drums, powder coated, vintage brake scoops, cast aluminum finned polished and painted. Everything on this modern example of a era spectic Hot Rod was professionally built. You are viewing an original 1941 Ford Pickup. It's in great condition. This car runs and drives without problem. The engine is a small block Chevy with the 350 transmission. The front and rear fenders fit perfectly but are fiberglass. The windows appears original with some lifting on the passenger side. This is a truck to enjoy "as-is" or restore for show. The gauges all work as they should as well as the lights. The front seat needs upholstery and the springs are fine. The rear is the original banjo. This is a clean old truck ready to drive and enjoy. The truck has a clear California title but hasn't been registered since 2008.
