Listing My Custom 1950 F1 pick up for the third and last time. I guess I'll need to start by re-stating the basics. This is not a game! Please don't bid/make an offer unless You can follow through. It costs money to re-list an item. If You have to check with your wife or significant other, do it BEFORE You make the offer! This vehicle is for sale locally, so I do reserve the right to end this add early. If it doesn't sell, I won't be relisting until spring. I require an immediate NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT of $500.00. If this is not Paid within 24 hours, I'll assume You are not really interested, and I will make E-bay aware of your actions. Now for the good stuff. We started this as a car club project a few years ago. The truck was completely assembled and driven around for the summer. In the fall, We completely disassembled it, so it could be cleaned, detailed, and painted. Unfortunately, this is when the interest fell off. I decided to get it together and let it go to a new home. The frame started as a Ford Model "A" The center was dropped about 8 inches, and stretched 12". The front was modified to accept Mustang II front suspension with tubular upper and lower control arms, The front shocks and the manual steering rack are chromed, as well as the steering shaft. The front of the frame was stiffened with extra tubing welded in below the main rail. This looks a little like the early "ladder" type frames of the '60's drag cars. All front suspension parts were either new or rebuilt, including the spindles, Mustang II disc brakes, all bearings and hardware. The rear of the frame was modified to accept the chrome parallel 4 bar suspension with a panhard bar to keep it all centered. The rear end is a rebuilt 9" Ford with 3.50 gears and a 1958 station wagon housing. There are chrome adjustable coil-overs and GM intermediate disc brakes. There is an adjustable brake proportioning valve and a new dual camber master cylinder. The electric is all new with a "Mr. Roadster" wiring harness The tail lights are '59 Cadillac, and the headlights are Tri-bar reproductions with a turn signal mounted in the lower part of the headlight. There are also LED front running / turn signals in the top of the '40 style headlight rings. All lights, gauges, horn, etc. work as they should. The front wheels are Weld drag lites with moon disc covers, and good radial tires. The rear wheels are 15x10's from either Summit or Jegs, (I don't remember which ). The rear radial tires are 275-60-15's. The cab is a 1950 Ford F1 with a 2" chop. The dash ha been modified to accept a 1962 Impala rear speaker grille (just because it looks cool ). The instrument cluster was rolled forward for better visibility, and all new gauges were installed in the aluminum instrument cluster. The windshield and back glass have a slight tint, and both have new seals. There is no door glass, but I do have the pattern for 1- piece door glass without the vent window.. I have the left regulator and window track, but not the right. There is also no glove box liner or headliner. These are easy to get from either a junkyard or from the specialty suppliers. The engine is a fresh low compression 390 from a '72 pick-up. The cam is an HE 280 from Comp Cams. The intake is an old Offenhauser 360 with dual rebuilt holley 600's and early ford dual quad linkage. The primary carb has an electric choke. The ignition system is an original ford distributor with a petronics electronic conversion and coil. The alternator is a 1 wire GM style. The custom headers were hand built, and they dump into a pair of turbo mufflers that exit through the rear cab corners. The trans. is a C-6 with a shift kit, a mild converter, and a Lokar kick down cable. I'm sure I've forgotten something, so please feel free to ask questions. Transportation is the sole responsibility of the buyer. If You go to "1950 Ford" in the completed listings, You can see My previous adds with different photos in each ad. I may be able to help with shipping, but don't count on this unless we talk first. Thanks for looking and have a good Day!
