This auction is for a showroom frame off restored 1949 Ford F1 pick up truck. This truck has been completely restored and rebuilt to its original specifications. You could not restore this truck for what has been invested in it! The engine has been upgraded with a 1949 255 Mercury engine, which is a direct fit upgrade and very desirable! The truck drives flawlessly...for a 1949 Ford truck. The body was all sandblasted and painted in the original tomato red. The body is all steel except for the front splash aprons which are fiberglass, but no one would ever know! The bed is also all new with an eye catching Red Oak hardwood bed which has been finished with 6 coats of MARINE spar! Even the tailgate chains are exactly like what Ford put on the truck in 1949. There is a small crack in the paint on the right rear fender where a stone hit it. I'd leave it, as it's hard to notice. The engine has been completely rebuilt with all new parts and has been set up to run flawlessly on unleaded gas. The engine runs like a sewing machine with excellent power! The transmission has been resealed and is quiet, but still likes to leak oil. The transmission works great and smooth with double clutching. The clutch set is also brand new. The exhaust, hangers, and brackets are all exact reproductions, and the truck has a NOS muffler and sounds EXACTLY like it did in 1949! Not too quiet not too loud! The frame was completely disassembled, sandblasted and painted with O.E. chassis black poly enamel. The frame was then restored with all new bushings, shocks, springs, hardware, king pins, tie rods, suspension, motor mounts, transmission mount, wheel bearings, brakes, stainless steel brake lines.... are all new! The truck rides on a set of FIRESTONE gum dipped bias ply tires, with the factory hubcaps. Even the spare tire is on a meticulously restored rim with a new FIRESTONE bias ply tire to match the other 4. The truck also has a new aluminum radiator and water pumps, hoses and runs cool on the hottest days. It also has a heater to keep you warm on those frostier day! The truck has also been lavished with a new fuel system, fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel lines are all brand new! Even the carburetor has been replated to look like it did nearly 70 years ago! All of the glass, windshield and such is brand new as are all the seals and weatherstrips. The original vacuum wiper motor has been restored and works perfectly just like it did when the truck left the factory in 1949. The gauges, wiring and electrical system have all been rebuilt. The wiring and battery cables are all exact reproductions of what was original. The truck still runs on the 6 volt system and starts up every time. Finally the interior has been insulated with dynamat type insulation and was restored with a new gray vinyl upholstery on the seat and factory gray panel boards. The rubber mat is also brand new. Just in time for Christmas is one of the cleanest 1950 ford F1 truck's that we have ever seen. This truck extremely nice and as you will see in the pictures it is one of the cleanest F1's on the market right now. The truck is painted in the one year only Palisade green with black accent fenders and grill. The paint is very nice, a few small chips but that's it ... The interior is in excellent condition with no wear anywhere and truck still retains its original tool box. The flathead is smooth and start right up, trans shifts thru all gears perfectly, and truck rides on its original 16 inch wheels and new wide white tires. The truck tracks straight down the road and brakes work perfectly no pulling. The body is beautiful and is the nicest and straightest body I have ever seen... no bondo bucket here..... Engine is out of a 1946 ford 1/2 ton pick up. 59 a casting. It was completely gone through bored .080 over new pistons , reconditioned rods , crankshaft was reground .020/.020 new adjustable valve train ,block was decked true and the heads were milled .010 true . new timing gears and new oil pump. The cam is stock and the intake manifold is the stock 2 barrel.This engine was professionally machined and assembled then spin tested . All of the other components , carburetor , exhaust manifolds water pumps etc that are not pictured are available.

1936 Ford Pickup Excellent condition inside and out; smooth running 8RT 100hp Flathead V8 (the truck version of the 8BA), 1939 pedals and juice brakes (new master and wheel cylinders, lines, drums and shoes - stops straight!), rebuilt 1939 transmission (first year for good synchromesh - no double clutching necessary), 1935 wire wheels, excellent interior, new glass, restored period heater, all gauges work, Mitchell Manufacturing overdrive ($2,595 plus installation, but now it stays with highway traffic with ease (see photo of indicated 98mph), and it can be put back 100% stock in an afternoon), 12 volt alternator conversion (starts immediately no matter how cold it is and charges at idle), new lever action shocks and linkage, replacement wiring harnesses, body disassembled, restored, re-painted original Rock Moss Green and re-assembled with new hardware and welting last year. Reliable, nice driving, head turner. Original parts included. Garage kept and driven regularly. Mileage shown is post restoration. Original speedometer showed 44,000 miles when it stopped working, but there is no way to know if that was correct. I am the third owner. The original owner traded it in for a new truck in the early 60s, and the dealer held onto it until I bought it from him about 25 years ago. A++ on description.*For sale is a nice original 1952 Ford Pick Up. The body over all is very solid and straight. It has a little bit of rust on the interior floor as well as 2 small spots behind passenger door. There is a metal floor in the bed even though most of the original wood is actually still there. The sides of the bed are not all beat up nor is the tail gate. The running boards are very solid as well as the frame is very solid. Some of the original red paint is visible on the exterior as well as on the interior and under the hood. The dash is in nice original condition. It has a junk engine and tranny in it from who knows what. I do have the original transmission in the bed as well as a period correct flat head V8 ready for rebuild.
