This 1997 Cobra is and has always been garage kept and adult owned with low miles and ice cold A/C and hot heat, new $1400.00 leather interior, custom audio system, new off road x pipe with new 50 series Flowmaster mufflers. All the bolt on mods are tasteful and all of the original components come with the car to return it to stock if the buyer wishes. The car has genuine Ford Terminator rims on the car at present but the factory Cobra wheels come with the car. The car is supercharged and makes aprx. 470 rear wheel horsepower and is loads of fun to drive. The car is intercooled and has a turbo smart blow off valve and was professionally dyno tuned with an SCT3 tuner that comes with the car by Henson Performance. This is one of the nicest SN95 Cobras I have seen that is driven on a fairly regular basis, weather permitting. No rust but a couple of places on the front and rear bumper covers so they could use repainting but still very presentable. The 5 speed transmission shifts fine if not hurried but will grind slightly if hustled which leads me to believe the 2nd gear synchronizer may be worn a bit. The car doesn't overheat and idles great so no drama when driving. As you can imagine the car is played with some and holds it's own against any new performance car and bests most but has never been to the track or had slicks bolted on. Cobras received their own front and rear fascias, so they're easy to identify on the roll, and they weren't so crazy low that the chin took a beating. This car looks months old, not years, and given the usual life of a Mustang, that's a rare find indeed. The two-tone tan leather interior is simply gorgeous. Is this really a Mustang? Suede inserts are grippy, which is what you want in a car that can corner like this, and there are Cobra emblems everywhere you look (what, was this car built by Carroll Shelby?). Cobras came only one way: loaded. As a result, things like A/C, power windows, locks, and driver's seat, cruise control, and a tilt wheel were standard equipment. The seats show almost no wear, again a testament to both the quality of the Cobra and the care it has received. Everything works, of course, and your new Cobra only came with a manual gearbox in 2001. A power convertible top straps down easily and offers a clean profile when it's stowed, and even the trunk is reasonably-sized for a weekend getaway. The 4.6-liter DOHC V8 rips through the gears with a zeal that the old 5.0 could only dream of. Smooth and willing to rev, it was highly developed by Ford to represent the very best powerplant they could muster. The bottom-end was virtually indestructible and the heavy-breathing heads made it feel like it could pull forever. And yes, there are an insane number of performance upgrades available, none of which made it on to this car. That means no street racing, no abuse, no questionable workmanship, making this the right car for the guy who appreciates a great pedigree. The 5-speed manual transmission snaps through the gears easily and the 8.8-inch rear end will stand up to the 4.6 for years to come. Here is your chance to own a beautiful 2004 SVT Mustang Cobra with only 12,800 miles! 1 of 308! I originally purchased the Cobra from a Lamborghini dealership and am the second owner. The first owner of the car had purchased it planning to give it to his son when he turned 16. The father had the car stored in an air controlled unit and it was always indoors and was saving it for his sons 16th birthday. The father would go and drive it monthly but only drove it short distances. Unfortunately his son was unable to drive the car when he turned 16 and his dad decided to sell the car to the dealership. It only had 800 miles on it and was like new in 2008 when I purchased it! Since 2008, I have only put an additional 12,000 miles on the car and it now has 12,803 miles. It’s still like new! You can still smell the leather seats the same when I went to pick up the car in 2008. This car is amazing and something special. It has seen the rain only once or twice by accident, never driven in the snow even though it was originally purchased in Chicago. I always detailed the car myself. I would use a two bucket wash method, clay bar, 2 step polish, Wolfgang Fusion ($200) wax and the whole 9 yards. I love this car and enjoy taking care of it. The oil I used each time I changed the oil was Royal Purple XPR 5W-30 Ultra-light Extreme Performance Synthetic Racing Motor Oil. I do not skimp. THIS OIL IS $20 PER QUART. Back in 2008 the dealership installed a clearbra on the front of the car, and mirrors to prevent rock chips. The clearbra has a scuff mark on the drivers side. My dad was obsessed with having the car not hangout into the sidewalk and pulled it too far forward and lightly bumped our other car and it chipped the paint in a three inch section. I left the film on for chip protection, but it would look better taken off or replaced with a newer film. I have the Borla stinger catback, with the pro chamber x pipe (it sounds AMAZING) deep and powerful with great tone, no rasp. Loud as can be when you want, but put it in fifth or sixth gear and it can be tame if you’d like. I also did a 2.76 upper pulley, JLT cold air intake, H&R Race springs, and a dyno tune by Bob Kurgan (Bob Kurgan is very well known out of Chicago). All of the work was done by Deans Performance, a very reputable shop. Hans (the owner of Deans Performance) is great! It made great power and dynoed just shy of 500whp and 500tq. I have 315/35/17 Mickey Thompson ET street drag radials on the rear, and still have the original tires on the front. I moved to Arizona and took the car with me. It was shipped in an all enclosed truck. It is always garage kept, and driven monthly. It’s my ‘weekend’ car and as such I have been able to keep the miles very low, and the car is in pristine condition. NO RUST. It’s a great car and drives spectacularly. It is so fun to drive around and have the top down on a nice day and cruise around town. The Cobra almost always gets thumbs up when I am out driving, and it draws crowds at car shows. People don’t believe me when I tell them it only has 12,000 miles! Don’t let this chance to own a 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra with extremely low miles slip through your fingers!
