Having had a professional four year rotisserie restoration over a completely numbers matching born with drive train, absolutely rust free body, and believed to be 33,520 actual miles, making this Mach-1 unquestionably spectacular. To top it off the car is dressed in its original and highly desirable Indian Fire Red paint color over a beautiful, mostly original White Mach-1 Interior. Straight from a high quality Ford Collection, this beautiful Mustang is for sale to the public for the first time in nearly 25 years! If you’re looking for an investment grade 1969 Mustang Mach-1 R-Code, we ask that you please take the time to read through our detailed description and look over all the photos.This Mustang was ordered by Jess Hunter Motor Company out of Pueblo, Colorado May 28th, 1969 and built at the Dearborn Assembly Plant on schedule July 1st, 1969. After completing its final inspection, it was then released July 3rd, 1969 where it began its journey to Pueblo, Colorado. It was then sold new to its first owner December 9th, 1969. Evidently, the original owner took very good care of the car and used it sparingly to cruise through the beautiful back roads of Colorado. The previous/current owner purchased it in 1991 with approximately 30,000 miles on the odometer. Shortly after getting the car home, he decided that he wanted to restore the car to “Showroom” condition. At that time, he began an extremely detailed four year rotisserie restoration. During the restoration, mostly all NOS and original parts were used other than some common maintenance items. Most items that were replaced on the car down to the reverse light lens gaskets were kept and are included with the sale. As you look through the photos, you will see that the exterior of the Mustang is absolutely gorgeous. The highly desirable and original color Indian Fire Red was professionally sprayed over a rust free, all original panel Colorado body. Yes, I know exactly what you are thinking after reading that last sentence, a completely rust free 1969 Mustang body? Honestly, we didn’t believe it either until we went and inspected the car. The first thing we did was look for a patched or replaced panel, and all that we came up with were matching date code stamps on all the body panels, no signs of any patch work, and no evidence of any severe body damage that had previously been repaired. Then, we were shown the photos that were taken before and during the restoration. These photos show the condition/originality the car had before its restoration, and that it truly is a completely rust free car that was actually in very nice “survivor” condition before it was restored. Here are a couple of these photos so you can see for yourself.All the trim throughout the exterior is either pristine original, or NOS, and compliments the “show quality” Indian Fire Red paint beautifully. The glass is also original except for the windshield, which was replaced with a factory date correct replacement. Even the wheels are the original, date correct Styled Steel Wheels that are wrapped with a set of F70-14 Good Year Poly-Glass tires finished with NOS trim rings and hub caps! As you open the doors to this Mustang you’re introduced to its beautiful White Mach-1 Interior. Thanks to being carefully cared for, the interior is mostly original and in excellent condition throughout. The dash, gauges, vents, radio, and steering wheel are original and add nice details as you sit in the driver’s seat. The console, rear interior panels, and even the door panels are also the original pieces for the car and they are in great condition as well! The front and rear seat covers were replaced as was the carpet during its restoration. Included with the car are the original front and rear seat covers and carpet that are in pretty good condition for their age, but it was felt that new covers and carpet fit the restoration better than the originals. Everything inside is in working order including all the gauges, radio, interior lights, horn, heater controls, etc. Underneath the intimidating shaker hood, the factory born with 428 Cobra Jet Power Plant is nestled between this cars original and uncut shock towers. Sitting under the correct Shaker Air Cleaner, the factory date correct Holley 4280 Carburetor and date correct 4 Barrel Intake Manifold are matched to the original FE big block. Not only does the block show a date of May (E) 19th (19) 1969 (9), but it also has a partial VIN number stamped into the backside that matches this car. The entire engine compartment has been extremely detailed tying all the subtle details together. Even the factory C-6 Cruise-O-Matic is numbers matching, and it shifts flawlessly as well! Having been professionally gone through and rebuilt during the restoration assures that this menacing Cobra Jet performs as good as it looks! As you look underneath this Mach-1, you will be pleased to find that it looks as good as everything on top. The rust free floor pans, torque boxes/frame rails, rear quarter drop offs, inner/outer wheel houses, etc, have been finished in the correct “Green Batch” primer complimented with a perfect amount of body color over spray. During the restoration, the entire suspension, steering components, front and rear brakes, etc were all gone through, restored, and any worn items replaced with correct Ford parts. The driveshaft and rear end have also been gone through and completely detailed to factory specs. Honestly, I could keep typing for the rest of the day about this car, but I would rather let the photos and documentation do the rest of the talking.
