Up for sale is my 1994 Mustang Convertible Cobra Clone. I have spent the last 12 years building a Cobra Clone that is as close as possible to what rolled off of the Ford assembly line. The color is Dark Forest Green with Saddle leather and a Saddle top. It is a stunning color combination and gets plenty of attention whenever I take it out. This car has had the complete transformation and will pass for the real thing to all but the most dyed-in-the-wool SVT Cobra experts. Don't let the fact that this car has 235,000 miles on it concern you. I purchased it in 2002 with 113,000 on it and have put the other 122,000 on it over the last 12 years. The motor is STRONG! I did the heads, cam, intake and all of the supporting hardware on the engine at 180,000 miles. When we pulled the heads off, the original cross-hatch was still visible on the cylinder walls, and there was no scoring, so I was more than comfortable to put it back together. I have run Valvoline Max Life 10W40 and an Motorcraft FL-1A filter since I bought it. It does not smoke or burn an excessive amount of oil between changes (1/2 quart MAX). The motor holds 55 pounds of oil pressure at idle when cold, 25 at idle when warmed up to operating temps, and between 30-50 when cruising down the road so there is PLENTY of life still there. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere! This was my daily driver and show car till I retired it from daily status about 18 months ago. Since then, it has been the Cruise In Queen and gets to stay out of the elements. The paint is in very good shape. I keep it waxed regularly. The top has been on it for about 6 years. It is in great shape with just a little wear around the edges near the quarter windows in the back where it rubs going up and down. I have never seen an SN-95 convertible that didn't have this issue. The windows are tinted with 3M color-block tint that is 35% so it is completely legal. Almost every aspect of this car that could be improved, has been. I will list everything below. It handles well, stops well, and runs well. This car is a pleasure to drive! I have a clean and clear title in my name. I have the original Ford keys as well as two fobs for the car. I know that one works, I am not sure about the other. It may need to be programmed. The AC blows cold. The heat works perfectly. The top motor and cylinders work as they should. Car has a Kenwood CD head unit, Alpine Amp, and upgraded speakers front and rear (I can't remember if they are Kenwood or Pioneer). It has the connections and outputs for a sub in the trunk as well. Console has been dyed saddle to match Just replaced the steering wheel with one out of a 20K mile car so it looks new Autometer Phantom Oil Pressure and Water Temp gauges in a center gauge pod Padded Styling Bar As you can see, I am very particular with this car and have used good parts when building it. To be totally up front, there are a couple of little items that could be addressed, but are not urgent, and not even entirely necessary. Air bag light is on due to a bad clock spring. I am not a big fan of airbags so I covered the light and left it alone. it has been this way since I have owned it and has not caused a problem. Anti-Lock light would flash intermittently. It would not stay on consistently nor would it store an error code. I could not determine what was wrong, nor could my mechanic, so I removed the light from the gauge cluster. The brakes work perfectly! There are a few door dings in the quarters from its time being a daily driver. They are minor and could be easily repaired with some PDR. I showed it for several years like this and nobody ever commented about them. They stand out to me because it is my car! Also, I have replaced the bushings in the window motors, and they work as they should, but occasionally the drivers window motor will POP when it gets to the bottom because the motor skips on the bushings. The window motor could be replaced and eliminate the problem, or another set of new bushings could remedy the situation. The tabs for the rear window defroster have pulled off of the back window. They can be re-attached with a kit from the parts store, but the car never sat outside, never got a frosted rear window, so I never needed it. At some point in its life, the left quarter and door have been replaced. The job is very nice and almost undetectable. The only place that is a give away is around the trunk hinge bolts where the self-leveling compound was removed. It has been repainted in there but is noticeable with the trunk up. I have shown it like this for the last 12 years and it has never been an issue, most people do not even notice. I have been as thorough as I can be with the description. This is a stand up car and one of the nicest SN-95 convertibles that you are going to run across. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I have had my hands on every part of this car and will happily answer what I can. If you wish to have the car inspected, I can have the car available once you have made arrangements. I do have this car listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. If you are out of state, and win this auction, the transportation for the vehicle will be your responsibility. I will be happy to have the car accessible for a transportation company or meet them near my location if necessary. This is definitely a car the you could fly in and drive home if you wanted to. Good Luck and Happy Bidding
