I purchased brand new in 2007 and hauled it home from Gray Ford dealership in La. I then signed up with Shelby for the Super Snake program. I chose to have the upgrade done at Tasca Ford because of the history between Carroll Shelby and Bob Tasca Sr. Numbers 300- 400 was set aside for Tasca in the Super Snake program, mine being #307 was one of the first builds. After that was completed, I then signed up for the Pace Car program offered by Mr. Shelby to the owners of a Super Snake. With Mr. Shelby's first and only sponsorship of a Nascar race, (The Shelby 427 in 2009, Las Vegas Motor Speedway), his intentions were to build 427 of the Pace Cars but only 202 were built, never to be offered again. I selected #307 in the Pace Car program to match the #307 Super Snake build. I have pictures of Carroll Shelby sitting in the car getting ready to put his name on the dash . Here is the list of signatures: Carroll Shelby (deceased), Bob Tasca Sr (deceased), Lee Iacocca, Bill Ford, Edsel Ford, Jack Roush, John Force, Ashley Force, Don "The Snake" Prudhomme, Steve Saleen, Bob Tasca III, John Clor, Janine Bay. The car has never seen rain, never been washed with water and is as new underneath, inside, outside as it was when purchased new. Only 600 miles on the car.
