Car is perfect candidate for restoration!!! Sweat equity as what everyone calls it!! Car has been sitting for 30+ years in Los Angeles...Was built in San Jose and sold in LA and been here ever since. Hasn't been registered in 30+ years and not in DMV's system...Bill of Sale only This car is a great project for a restoration because it's untouched and you can keep it all original or make it as wild as you want. I understand this isn't a fastback or anything but it's getting harder to find an original 1st owner car that hasn't been touched and cut up. Car is completely original from the motor, transmission, interior, hubcaps, California Smog equipment, glass, and everything else. Since it was given to me 3 months ago I have pulled the original motor and had it rebuilt to original specs of a 289...Pulled the C4 transmission and also had it rebuilt, Autolite 2100 Carb has been rebuilt. Car is running and ready to go. At this time the motor and transmission have been pulled out because I wanted to clean the engine bay some more. I will install the motor and transmission before the car has been sold/shipped. I also had the original radiator cleaned, blasted and pressure checked. All original hupcabs. Brakes work. I also put brand new tires on the car. I will talk about the rust here...Car has minimal rust compared to other mustangs out there. There is a small hole on the rear driver side wheel well/trunk. There is some rust on the hood but if you are a good body guy you can fix it or yourself. Floorboards are good no rust, Cowl has no rust, Door and rocker panels are good except for driver side next to key hole someone tried to get in there with a screwdriver. I can take more detailed pictures of any part of the car that you are interested in. Interior is all original but with a little bit of love this classic car will come right back to life. New parts not installed yet included with car - I have ordered a brand new gas tank, brand new fuel lines, new fuel pump, new locks and keys, new hinges for the hood but the original are fine just need to be cleaned up...plus many more small parts. Ext Color : Arcadian Blue Int Color : Lt Blue Crinkle Vinyl and Blue Rosette Vinyl, Standard Interior Engine : 289 V8 - All Original just finished the complete rebuild last week...Engine is painted to original matching ford blue. New wires, spark plugs, and everything else. Trans: C4 Automatic 3 speed...that was also completely tore down and rebuilt with a new torque converter.
