I had the original 289 engine rebuilt by a machine shop in Topeka KS has less then 5000 miles on it. had the body work done by a gentleman with over 30 years of sheet metal experience, no bondo work done here. All the interior has been redone, it basically looks like it just rolled out of the factory. It was originally red but the Silver Frost Color is original to that year and I think it makes it stand out more. I've had the car for 14 years and loved the project. this little horse was born in Dearborn on October 23 1965 and shipped to st louis with a 200 6 beater and a c4 it has a red vynl interior that is original with moderate wear and is in pretty good condition. the floor was completely rusted. a new complete floor was installed along with factory ford quarters as well as inner and outer wheel houses no repop quarters or any outer sheet metal sheet metal was used. it is all original henry steel except floor pan.. the original 200 6 goes with it and was running when it was removed' the c4 was broke and that's why it was parked in 1985.I planned on putting a 302 in it and those mounts go with it as well as the 6cyl mounts All the trim is there along with every thing needed to put it back together ie lamps wiring harness glass ( less the windshield) emblems etc. no weatherstips but almost everything else. no hard parts will be needed. it has a factory 9 inch with new brakes and 300 gear. new front suspension with Granada disc brakes new rear leaf springs and a lot of spare parts.. This 1969 Ford Mustang has beautiful bodylines and has been rebuilt to surpass the performance of even the special edition small-block Fords from back in the day. This pony car started out as a F-code hardtop coupe, but it was destine for much more. That paint you can't take your eyes off of is a special shade called Candy Red Metallic. It has a huge shine, but there's a hint of a darker side, which works perfectly on this car. Not only does it contribute to the sinister attitude, but also it nicely coordinates with black features like the hood scoop, Boss-inspired c-strip down the sides, and the tall rear spoiler. No one will mistake this one for any 'ol Mustang coming down the road thanks to nice aggressive touches up front like the air dam, GT fog lights in the grille, and hood pins. The whole package is completed with black Torq Thrust style wheels that include the Mustang pony centercaps. The forceful attitude continues with an all-black interior. From the door panels, to the seats, to the dash, everything in this Mustang looks like midnight. We'd mention the new black carpets, too, but they have a cool pony emblem in them to add a dash of color. This is truly setup for the driver with a grippy small-diameter sports steering wheel for the left hand (power steering) and a performance shifter for the right one. But passengers won't feel like an afterthought thanks to the pair of comfy bucket seats up front, and an AM/FM/CD stereo for everyone to enjoy modern tunes. Of course we won't blame anyone for just wanting to roll down the windows and listen to the rumble of the dual exhaust instead. What really gives this car its attitude is under the hood. While it started life with a 302 cubic-inch V8, the one currently in the engine bay comes from a much younger '93 Mustang GT. This was then given some serous performance upgrades like a performance air cleaner, Edelbrock carburetor, Edelbrock intake, Ford Racing valve covers, MSD coil, and MSD Street Fire ignition. Now it has the kind of performance that will let you play with the factory Boss 302s. In fact, you've even got some advantages over them, like the extra gear that comes in this Mustang's upgraded Borg-Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission. The handling is also good with new rear leaf springs as well as new upper and lower control arms with new rubber seals up front. Plus, there are disc brakes up front, and grippy Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires at all four corners for total control. This is not a Boss 302... it's better. This Mustang has more modern performance features for a lot less cash. But you're still going to turn the same amount of heads, or probably more, driving this stunner.
