S154, (MAKE AN OFFER) WW1 production. Complete, all running and ready to go now. A museum quality specimen. Only the canvas top, upholstery covers, tires and a couple of interior soft panels and some wiring have been replaced (whatever the bugs had chewed on.) This car was found intact in a local Clearfield County Pennsylvania barn, by auto collector and restorer, Don Harter, well known in these parts. He says he knew the family who farmed that property and remembered the story thus; "The old man bought the car used and drove it into the barn, then went in his house and fell over dead, of a heart attack. His wife just pulled a tarp over the car and left it right there. When she became disabled, she sold the car to me years later and I went to work on it and had it running in no time." Harter says that he did not tamper with the original factory hand painted body finish and he only replaced what the vermin and dry rot had destroyed, which wasn't anything not available. Retains original manual windshield wiper, wooden spooked wheels, brass hubs, wide headlights, rims, side and rear oil lamps, windshields, etc. Even has the original Clackson horn (as-OOO-gah) and brass bulb operated air horn. This car has been his winner of many blue ribbons, at car shows hereabouts. It looks like the same model driven by Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, in their great, classic comedy movies. Even retains the original license plates, dated 1917. Well, old Don is getting on in years, so I decided to help him sell some of his cars and I got this one to start. Now, I don't know how to drive, or start one of these front crankers, so if you do, this is the antique car of your dreams. Don says; "Just use regular leaded gas and standard oil and grease and set your carb and throttle levers and you are ready to go." Always garage kept and driven in many parades and local events. I purchased this 1925 Model T Ford over 12 years ago from a good friend of mine. This car has been garage kept since before I Purchased it.When purchased it was a complete car that needed to be completely renovated. On a personal level this is a labor of love and it has been a very difficult decision to sell. My health took a turn for the worse in 2012 I simply can no longer finish what I started. This car needs to be owned and finished by a person that intends to keep a true part of the history of the modern day automobile. I took this car down to the bare steel frame. I rebuilt over 90% of the cars wooden body chassis. It was rebuilt using dried Oak purchased from an Amish Lumber Mill. I planned each and every piece used to the exact width and thickness of the existing wood. Those pieces that were rotted to badly to use as a template, I used blue prints I purchased from a gentleman in Canada. After rebuilding the wooden chassis the metal panels were then nailed back in place, doors were hung and painfully readjusted. This car when finished will be about 95% original (in my opinion). Any mechanical part I replaced this far were either original or a authorized Ford replacement part. I purchased a brand new reproduced radiator made in original style by the Brass Works in California. This one piece was $1000.00. Motor and transmission were professionally rebuilt by a classic car garage (still in business) located in Cleveland Ohio. Rear end was drained flushed and oil was replaced with the suggested 600 weight drive train oil. New rear axle keys were put in place, rear brakes were replaced. Brand new reproduction Tires, inner tubes and flaps purchased from a tire manufacturer in Harrisburg PA. All four clincher's had to be replaced. I found and purchased original used clinchers from the Model T Haven Company. All four wooden spoke wheels are original. I have all the remaining metal trim parts required to finish the interior. I have two of the three seat springs required for the seats, although those should be replaced but can be repaired if you have the patients and time. All original glass is there 1 rear side glass is broken, lower windshield glass has one crack all glass should be replaced with safety glass to make the car a little safer when driving. I did remove the original timer from the rebuilt engine and replaced it with a modern distributor. Using a distributor allows for the engine to be easier starting and more reliable when driving. New Champion spark plugs were installed along with new wiring. Spark advance rod was replace as required when using distributor. The new throttle rod needs to be installed. The carburetor was replaced with an original carburetor. This car is electric start over crank, I mention this because the electric starter needs repaired. The Bendix was apparently repaired at some point and poorly done, someone decided they could spot weld the Bendix gear which proved to be unsuccessful. Parts are readily available through auto parts whom specialize in Antique Car parts. They are what I refer to as the big three, Mac's, Lang's and Snyder's. I have up to date parts catalogs from these three and more. Obviously I could go on and on with the description of this car and not mention every factor, new used or otherwise so please if you have questions contact me, the only stupid questions are the ones you did not ask. This car is being sold with a Notarized Bill Of Sale. Because of its age there was no title available. You will have to apply for one using the Bill OF Sale. 1923 T bucket built in the early 80's. Titled in PA as Special Construction Street Rod. Absolute blast to drive this, I get thumbs up everywhere and from all ages. Sounds, drives and looks great. Lots of chrome. Unique oak wooden bed. 1923 Fiberglass body. 350 SBC rebuilt by machine shop (have all the receipts and spec's) 202 heads, 10:1 Compression, forged rods, 4 bolt main, bored .30 over, Mallory distributor. Runs excellent, lots of Power, No smoke, Great oil pressure and water temperature. 7 years ago a New drive train installed with less than 1500 miles on the New Jegs Turbo 350 TCI street fighter transmission, New Jegs 2300- 2700 stall speed convertor. Brand New AHC coated headers with New heat shielded chrome mufflers. Black paint on body is nice and shows very nicely. There is a couple of fine stress line cracks in fiberglass at window frame mounting brackets on both the driver and passenger sides, not noticeable until you are 3 foot away but still looks awesome. Interior is also very nice and shows great. These Extras go with car: Convertible top in good condition with no rips or tears, but not installed as you will need to install the snap buttons on body to use.
