Enjoy nostalgia traditional hot rodding with this 1929 Ford truck Model A hot rod. 86 years old and still going strong. You won’t be disappointed with this driver. It’s climate controlled, plenty of power and 20 MPG. This hot rod has been all over the southeastern United States. It will cruise at 80 mph all day long and feel good about it. This hot rod is ready to go. Don’t miss the opportunity to own this piece of automotive history. This wonderful survivor truck was discovered the the prairies of Phillipsburg, Kansas. It was trailered in pieces to Arlington, Texas where a retired GM engineer built the hot rod. I swapped out the engine and transmission, built the interior and improved my other areas of the truck over a five year period. This truck is right. It is surprisingly comfortable and it loves going 80 MPH all day long on the freeway. I have been building and owning hot rods for over 50 years. I have owned many. I’ve never had more fun in a hot rod than this one. More importantly, other people enjoy this car more than the trailer queens I have owned. If you want to make people smile. If you want to see a thumbs up. If you want to spend 30 minutes at the gas pump talking to people about your hot rod, this is the rod for you. You can drive this rod on the street or it is set up for drag racing. Either way it is tons of fun. Poor health forces sale. There is a lien on this truck View a walk around video here: https://youtu.be/qciGQAp_sr4 (copy and paste the link) Body and Chassis 1929 Ford Model A truck hot rod Stock original body Boxed frame. rear third z’d 4 inches 4” dropped I beam front axle Camaro front disc brakes Vega steering box Custom heavy duty rear radius arms 8” Ford rear, 3.43 gear, 1500 RPM at 70 MPH Coil-over rear shocks Halogen headlamps Amber driving lamps LED rear lights with Blue Dot Gas tank moved to the bed. 12 gallons, aluminum, no spill rollover Leather cover on bed Weathered side boards Tinted glass Put the included front bumper on this truck and it will pass the NSRA safety certification inspection. Interior Seat is a narrowed Suburban bench seat. It’s easily removed to access the AC, heater and air compressor under the seat. The interior is made from hand laced leather. The cab smells great. The dash bar and steering wheel are wrapped in leather also. The back walls are made from plywood and painted with brown outdoor case iron furniture paint. The ceiling is made from lattice boards with antiqued brass screws. The overhead hand braided leather pull is to activate the dual air horns. The dome light is a vintage motorcycle turn signal. The gauges include engine water temp, oil pressure, amps, fuel level. The dash bezel has been modified to accept two gauges. The original fuel gauge and speedometer are working but disconnected. I use my iPhone speedometer app for a speedometer and odometer. The original windshield still opens out. Emergency brake works great. Steering wheel is from an MG. Steering column is from a 1962 Ford Falcon Every square inch of the interior is thoroughly insulated An overhead panel of switches controls the electronics The is a custom made leather glove box overhead on the shotgun side. Column shifter Two tone pin striping on dash by Von Hot Rod Electric windshield wiper Floor mounted shoulder harnesses Engine/Transmission Professionally built 1988 Suburban 350 Chevy Bored 30 over Aluminum forged pistons AFR aluminum heads CompCam roller cam and rocker system Performer aluminum intake manifold Demon 650 CFM four barrel carb K&N air filter Mallory Distributor MFG direct drive high speed high torque starter High amp Interstate battery Professionally built 1989 700R4 Camaro transmission 2075 stall 2000 miles on engine and trans Stainless headers with turnouts and “H” crossover 2 1/2” exhaust Flowmaster Model 54 mufflers with flared exhaust tips I use 100% gas 93 octane Custom 3 layer aluminum Walker radiator Adjustable thermostated electric fan Accessories With the hot rod comes a pair of mounted vintage style pie crust creater slicks made by Towel City 1955 Ford wheel covers 1956 Olds wheel covers 1950 Desoto wheel covers (on the truck now) 1950? Plymouth hub caps and a set of 4 beauty rings Front bumper Rain/dust cover Authentic Mexican blanket for seat cover Hitch mounted tire carrier to haul the slicks to the drag strip. I also have the original radiator temp gauge cap What it needs The drivers door will not open from the inside. I have to roll the window down and open the door from the outside. The fix is easy and inexpensive. I just haven’t gotten to it yet. I will fix it for you. Price Grundy valued and insured this truck for $32,000. I am asking $29,000.

This is a cool rat rod daily driver. It is a little bit of everything. Body is a 31 Ford Model A and trunk I believe was off a 27. The trunk are has been chopped and widened out to rear tires. It is titled as a 31 model a tudor with an antique vehicle texas title. It has a 1.8 fuel injected Mazda motor with manual 5 speed, independent suspension all the way around along with all disc brakes. This thing is a blast to drive and very reliable. Can drive highway speeds just fine. Since this thing is so light is gets great gas mileage normally 30+ mpg's. All gauges work. It also has an obd2 port for any diagnostics. Nothing needed you can drive it home. Also has powder coated wheels and valve cover (letters ground down on valve cover no mazda markings anywhere). Both doors open and shut and latch also. Car is registered as an antique and plates are good until 03/2018. All lights work (headlights, brake lights, etc.) Good to go drive it home. It has a keg for gas tank behind the seats. Originally had a filler on trunk lid. I changed to just filling it up behind passenger seat for the hidden look. Gas tank holds approx 5 gallons. Lid opens and locks in back trunk area. There is also room for tools or some storage back there. This is also where the battery is located which I just replaced a few months ago. Although it is a Mazda drivetrain this thing is LOUD and sounds mean. Buyer arranges and pays for shipping. It is currently in Southern California
