This is a very very nice 1930 Model A ford with a solid red oak huckster bed. This Ford has less then 500 miles on the complete frame off restoration rebuild. The motor is the later model B engine with oil filter and has had a fresh rebuild . There is a temp gauge and oil pressure gauge on the steering column that light up with the head lights and work well. The sheet metal is all steel and looks smooth and like new. The paint also shines with a deep gloss and looks as good as the pictures show. The solid red oak body is very well built and looks like it has never been in the weather at all. The doors are super solid and shut great and the roll up windows work perfect. This truck is a joy to drive , the front end is tight with no problems. All the lights work as well as the horn. Turn signals have been installed and work great with the two tail lights. If you are looking for a like new ready to drive Model A this is it.This truck also fits into a standard 7ft. garage with no problem. We do have a trailer and could deliver up to 400 miles . 1929 Ford Model A Huckster Truck Fully Restored and Converted to 12 Volts Runs and Drives Fantastic!!! Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer this extra nice 1929 Ford Model A "Huckster" Truck. From 1928 through 1931, nearly 5 million Model A Fords were produced in approximately 15 different body configurations. the 1931 model sold for as low as $435.00 for a Roadster (approximately 22 cents a pound) to $625.00 for the Deluxe Phaeton. What is a Huckster? The "Huckster" was not a Ford model, but rather a style of converted vehicle used in the early part of the 20th century. Normally built by converting a pick-up body, although most models could be used, the rear of this type of vehicle was often fitted with a wood enclosure which had plenty of space for wares. Normally, they had cloth or leather panels to allow easy access to the rear portion of the vehicle which was filled with goods for sale. In other words, this was a conversion built expressly for peddlers, or hucksters, and used for delivering small goods such as fruits, vegetable or ??? My Grandfather lived in Wierton West Virginia way way back, even before my mom was born. He used to travel to the "Big City", Pittsburgh, Pa and buy a load of fruits and vegetables. He would then return to Wierton, and "Huck' his wares!!! This one appears to have been fully restored cosmetically and mechanically. It is all steel(except the rear fenders), and totally original!!! It has been thoughtfully converted to 12 volts, which allows it to start effortlessly, and run fantastic with bright and easy to see outside lighting. It is an absolute pleasure to drive, and draws an extreme amount of attention wherever it goes.
