1931 Ford Model A Postal Truck replica. All mechanical parts are original Model A including mechanical brakes, engine, trans,etc. The wooden body was built according to information and drawings I found on the internet and from Postalas.org, a postal truck site. The truck is 95% correct visually but I used different materials. This is not a show truck since it is not original. The windshield is 1/4 inch plexi, the roof is vinyl and the wood is plywood and pine. It has a 5 gallon gas tank in the rear with an electric fuel pump and a pressure reducer to accommodate the old carb. Radiator and carb were rebuilt. It has turn signals, brake lights and has been converted to 12 volt negative ground with an alternator. The truck runs fine, starts right up and stops very well. It is all Model A so there are lots of parts available. It has one bucket seat. I haven't done the floors yet and it needs side windows. I didn't want to use the plexi since it might look too modern. The lettering is vinyl and could be removed or covered. The metal fenders and hood need paint but are smooth with no dents. The cowl bottoms need some work. The strip near the windshield I put on until I could think of something better. This truck would be a great promo piece or use it as is. It is registered and inspected. I also have a 1973 Pinto wagon for an additional $1500.00 that you could swap the engine/trans into the Model A. There is a picture here
