VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: This is a 1959 Ford Galaxie Skyliner equipped with: Retractable Hardtop 352 CI V-8 Engine Cruise-O-Matic Transmission Power Steering Factory Colonial White with Torch Red Sof-Textured Vinyl Bolster and Raven Striped Nub Fabric with Silver Strand Interior Dual Exhaust Ford Motor Company produced only 12,915 retractables in 1959. 1959 marked the last year for Ford's production of the retractable hardtop and this particular retractable is a fine addition to any collection. The 352 V-8 engine starts and runs well. The Cruise-O-Matic transmission shifts smoothly and it runs down the road very straight. The previous owner restored the car approximately 10 years old and the paint, stainless and chrome continue to shine. The interior was also replaced at that time and looks super in original two-tone red and white. The most unique feature is by far the retractable top and it works perfectly. The undercarriage, including the frame, frame braces, floor pans and trunk floor, are also all in good condition with original factory undercoating.
