Up for bids is my 65 Ford LTD. This is the first year for the LTD Model. Even though its pretty much a Galaxie. I was told the car's engine is a 390. However it could be a 352. C6 automatic trans.That shifts good. 9 inch rear end.The car runs and drives however needs restoring. The engine runs good but has a knock/tick I'm unsure at this point of where its coming from. I bought this car with intentions of fixing it up. But I have to many toys and something's have got to go. The car has an Edelbrock aluminum intake. Edelbrock carb electric choke. Msd Distributor and coil. New rear shocks. New rear 225/60/15 tires. It has the typical dents and surface rust. The windshield is cracked. I have the passenger side rocker panel molding. It is in good shape. The interior is usable but needs restoring to be nice. The frame looks good. The worst place is the trunk pan. The brakes work. But the pedal is low to the floor. Power Steering. For sale is my grandfathers 1972 ford LTD. this car has been garage kept and has 53k original miles. the car was repainted 10 years ago, i have the trim pieces that are missing in the cup inside. The seats have some tears, car is a RUNNING AND DRIVING car. brakes and rotors were recently changed by my grandfather. I also have the horn piece that is missing in the photo. the headliner has no rips. there is NO rust in the trunk and i have a new spare tire. the rear deck where speakers go needs to be repaired. Unfortunately, after 7 years in Greensboro we're moving west on the 26th of June.Fortunately for Ford and classic enthusiasts, I'm offering up my solid 1970 LTD at a super low price.The basics:- 100% rust free - chrome and stainless are also in excellent condition- repainted at some point in its original "W-Code Yellow (or "Gold")"- brand new vinyl roof from Newstalgia Parts- factory strong 390 ci with the original 2-barrel 4120 Autolite professionally rebuilt by Champion Carb in TX- factory C6 3-speed transmission- factory front discs with rear drums - new rebuilt Bendix booster- new Cardone master cylinder- new PMP combination proportioning valve - (69,70 and 71 had a separate PV and obsolete metering valve so the system needed updating anyways)- new points, condenser, fresh oil/filter, etc.- A/C removed - 100 lbs less and a bit more HP- clock delete- perfect factory headliner and velour/gold vinyl upholstery - just excellent- perfect gold vinyl door panels- correct 1970 owners manual- super rare wiring and vacuum diagrams will be included- a complete set of Ford factory service manuals (A HUGE PLUS)- AM/FM radio but little to no sound...- cruises silently and smoothly at 60 mph all day long- brand new 17" Ridler 675 series with new Firestone FR710s - identical diameter and offset to original wheels (also included)I purchased this in March 2015 from Welford Harris Ford as a daily driver and project, but the company is moving us in a hurry. It had a bad booster and vacuum leaks were affecting idle, brakes, etc. Fast-forward to today, I've sealed all tube joints and branches with RTV, replaced the booster and had the carb rebuilt at Champion Carb in Texas, and while the start and idle and acceleration are fine, the booster is missing its "reaction bumper" - the brakes are super-strong and balanced front and rear - but way too reactive. Until the reaction bumper is installed you have to feather the brakes with a light foot - too much and it'll easily lock up.A new reaction bumper is coming from Prior Brake in Dallas (they did the rebuild) and should be here by Weds the 18th. Installation will be less than 5 minutes.Only other thing I would do if I had time (my company will not move the car, only our Acura) would be to get a vacuum booster pump from MasterPower in Mooresville - the idle vacuum is nice and smooth at -14 inches, but all boosters operate much better at -15 to 18". I can only wonder if the engine was recammed at some point - I've set timing it at the factory 10 degrees - it was at 6 when I bought it.Thanks for looking - a clean NC title in my name and a bill of sale will be ready for you.

It does start and run if you hook a fuel line from the fuel pump to a gas can. The fuel tank/lines are dirty. This car is all original interior/engine/etc. 390 V8, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, AC (still hooked up but not working). New tires, cap/rotor/wires, Freshly rebuilt 2BBL carb. Selling a 67' Ford Galaxie LTD with a 390. This is a true southern car, Purchased it in Alabama, had it shipped and have done some work to it. These Cars can go for 30,000 + restored and this car isn't far from it. The only major thing is that rust spot shown in the picture and it isn't even that big, other than that just VERY MINOR surface rust on the chrome. Excellent condition for a car almost 50 years old. NO RUST UNDER CAR WHAT SO EVER! Will make for a great project that already runs or a daily driver. Trying to get rid of it as soon as possible. I'm the 3rd owner and the car lived in Alabama its entire life and never had a title. This has been a two owner car and is 99% rust free car. The only rust is on the upper right trunk drip rail.The interior is all original in Ive Gold, no rips or holes. It's in great shape for being 50 years old.She runs, drives and stopes strong. Lowered 3" and rides smooth and soft. It has 98,XXX miles on the car and still has its original interior. As far as I can tell it hasn't been smoked in. The Crate Engine and Crate Transmission have less then 4,500 miles on them.The Engine is from Blue Print Engine. Its a New Turn Key 351w Roller. Stroked to 408Cu. The engine came with a Dyno Printout. 425-HP 500-TQ For added Performance over and above Power Output of the Blue Print Engine came with.I added a Custom Built and Tuned Holly Dominator Double Pumper Carb.A Custom Tuned Davis Unified Performance Distributor.Both Blue Print Engines and Monster Transmission have my car on their web page.
